Rin POV (will be the same until specified otherwise)

Izu and I stood in front of a crying boy, defending him from Katsuki Bakagou and two other boys. Izu was trembling in fear but stood his ground. I hugged him from the side to support and protect him. His hands were on my arms that were around him. 

"Why are you being so mean. You're making him cry Kacchan.", Izu fearfully confronted Katsuki.

"Yeah. Katsuki please stop this, if you don't we-we'll have to stop you ourselves!" I shouted along with my brother.

The three boys activated their quirks and Katsuki pumped his fists, "You two want to pretend to be heroes, you don't stand a chance without a quirk, Deku no.1 and Deku no.2 " The three boys ran at us and I was first scared for Izu more than anything. I stood in front of him and shielded him, my eyes started to burn a little, and my mouth opened reflexively.

I breathed out this huge inferno of green-blue. Katsuki jumped away but the other two boys screamed, their skin burning.

I frantically tried to calm down (haha lol, frantically tried to calm down) and closed my mouth immediately with both hands to try and stop my flames in shock. Licks of flames managed to spill a little around my fingers but it was able to stop eventually through the force.

I-I just got my quirk!!

Everyone look at me like they've seen a ghost. I run to the two boys to ask them if they were alright but they moved away from me, looking scared. I tried to say something, apologize, but no sound came out of my mouth except hoarse coughs. My throat is itchy and dry and it hurts.

Izu shouted in surprise "Rin you got your quirk and your eyes glowed orange when you activated it, it's so cool!! It's like a dragon and so pretty! Just like Dad!"

Katsuki marched up to me, erratic looking, "It doesn't matter if you have a quirk because mine is still better. Do you understand demon eyes?!! I will still beat you to pulp!!" He punched me in the stomach with a blast from his quirk and the other two boys jumped at Izu and beat him up. I tried to get up and use my quirk but I was too scared to hurt Izu too. I couldn't move anyways, my stomach hurt from the blast. I was curled up while hugging my mid in pain.

After beating Izu, they went away. I crawled up to him while he lay on the floor, tears in my eyes. I got my quirk but I still couldn't do anything "Izu I'm so sorry, I couldn't do anything"

Izu just smiled brightly, " You got your quirk Rin, you won the bet! I guess I owe you half my share of cookies for the week!" We had a bet that whoever gets their quirk first will get half the share of the other twin's cookies for a week.

He tried to cheer me up but I know that somewhere inside, despite being happy for me, he is sad too. I smile at him while crying. "Come on Izu let's go home and tell mom the good news!" I stand up helping Izu with me and go to the other crying boy who we had tried protecting at our expense. I hold out a hand to help him get up. I give him a bright smile and tell him to cheer up. The boy thanked the both of us and we headed home.

Mom gasped at our wounds and immediately took us in to treat them, scolding us for being reckless while playing and telling us to not do it again with tears and a hug. Yeah, we miight have lied a bit about how we got hurt. For some reason, we didn't want to tell mom about what happened with the bullying. Maybe we just didn't want her to go through the pain of having ignored the happenings in our small lives.

We told her about my quirk and she exclaimed in surprise. She hugged me happily again and promised to take us out for ice cream as celebration. Yay! I love ice cream!

Time skip

The years went by after that day. Me and Izu are in middle school. Izu's still quirkless and I have a cool fire breathing quirk like my dad.
