I smiled softly and continued, "But if you feel sharp stabs for more than 5 minutes you can stop"
They sighed in relief.
Mina and Kaminari were told to memorise the notes on a chapter in art history while we trained so they don't sit idle. Currently they racked their brains at a round table on the side of the field while also quizzing one another occassionally.
All of us began running with me holding a stopwatch that I brought from home.
Everyone was really hard working, I had to admit that, despite feeling tired or feeling pain and sweating profusely from all the exercise they continued. I was really impressed and happy they were willing to do it with everything they had.
I was no expert in teaching, especially in physical training but I tried my best and taught them anything I knew, that they needed or wanted to learn.
The first day for fight training I had analysed each of their level in fighting with a one on one match in the fighting ring so I could determine which moves would be best to teach them according to their strengths and where to correct them and make them stronger.
Kaminari enthusiastically joined for one round of it since it seemed interesting. He stood in full confidence only to be defeated in two seconds of a judo flip.
Mina had laughed till her stomach hurt at that and Ura and Yaomomo tried to hide theirs. I made a bet with him, if I won, he'll at least join the fight training that'll include nothing more than sparring.
After that Mina found it interesting and went against me too.
I found she was amazing in fitness and flexibility. Though her technique was lacking in a few areas, she was really good at everything else, especially her reflexes. She had a lot of unique moves proving to be a challenge. But that was only during the time I waited and tested to see how good and exactly where she was good by altering my pace. Once I got serious, it got over in a bit.
It made sense that she did not join in the training if she was this good and learning a few more diverse freestyle moves will suit her well, like the Capoeira martial arts. She said she loved dancing and that martial arts originating from brazil used dancing and rhythmic moves in a fight which was so her. She was fired up after seeing that I was going easy on her when she thought she was gaining on me and so she along with Kaminari joined the fight training. Plus it was fun.
Ura had learnt quite a few really good techniques from Gunhead. But because it was a short duration, they were all basic self defense and depended on how the opponent struck while disarming them. It might give an advantage in certain situations, but she wouldn't stand a chance against an expert other than being able to dodge and fare better at it than she did before.
But with that foundation, she could learn much more, better and faster in this 1 week. I decided to build on just that, making her approaches more diverse.
Though there was one thing with learning those kind of moves, and I pointed it out, in those situations, she has to create an opening for herself to be able to use them. If she can do that, then she can easily win the fight.
Jirou used her earphone jacks in her fight with good precision and aim, and the ability to dodge well. She lacked quite a bit in strength but her stamina was good. Using her jacks a lot more in fighting and by getting a little faster, she will have not 8 but 10 limbs while including her knees and elbows. Quite a lot like Muay thai and 10 limbs would boost it up.
Yaomomo had a good amount of stamina but it wasn't enough, I measured her strength when I had asked her to punch my palm and found it good enough if she is able to make contact but not if the opponent was able to block it. She finds a little hesitation in battle even if she has the right strategies. And so I told her to wipe it out, there should be no hesitation in any punch or kick.
