Was the title too cliché?🤣 Well I mean it literally. To tell the truth the second book is way more exciting than this. So with a little more patience (just like you've all been uptill now, thank you😭) things r gonna start escalating, or descending, lol dunno which way cuz it's gonna be a roller coaster.
I'm glad to finally finish this book, the first in the series.
It's mellow, and has been super slow (especially with the romance part lol, but there's a ton more comin' up in that aspect ;D. I hardcore ship TodoRin or Shorin or Rinto, lol dunno which to choose, go for whichever you like) But I'd like to think it's all a part of Rin growing up.
To put it bluntly, she was deep down quite the selfish person in the beginning, because she was a person who hasn't met many people yet. Her near psychic (emotionally observational) abilities were again because of her own interests and curiosity.
Of course you'd say how the hell is that possible?!
It's understandable, she always seemed caring didn't she? Again emphasis on 'a person who hasn't met many people yet'. But those she did meet, she cares about them a lot (In Izuku's words to Toshi during the sports festival). She only cared about the people she knew and Izu more than anyone. She didn't care about being a hero.
And there isn't one kind of selfish.
If back then she were given a choice, 'When a citizen's in danger because of a villain, and Izu's also beside you and is about to go to help despite knowing he would never win against said villain. Will you help him and protect him on his way to saving the citizen? Or will you drag him away and instead call for heroes?'
She'd choose the latter. Even if she did say that she wanted to support him on his path to being a hero.
But that's practically the point, her growth throughout this book was headed to the first option.
The next book will go next level, in other words Plus Ultra!✊🏻😂 She will also learn a different kind of selfish, or self love. You could say she might as well will become more of the kind of selfish she's always been🤣
Her heart is still in the bud stage, with the flower close to blossoming but not yet. The moment she realizes exactly the kind of hero she wants to be, it will blossom.
But what kind of flower?
