"I really am pathetic." All Might snaps the sludge arm.

"All Might, but I thought that-" Izu said surprised. I mean, I was surprised too, I thought his time limit was over.

"I told you two kids the traits that make a great champion, but I didn't even live up to my own ideal. Pros are always risking their lives, that's the true test of a hero!!" All Might grabbed Katsuki's arm.

"Damn you All Might" Sludge said attacking him.

"DETROIT SMASHHHH!!"

The sludge villain was completely disembodied with a huge whirlwind. The heroes behind me protected me from harm and Izu and Katsuki were unconscious on the ground. A moment later the sky darkened and it started to rain...!

All Might seriously just changed the weather with a punch! I never thought in my entire life that I would witness something like this first hand. All Might's foot staggered a bit and then pumped his fist in the air in victory. Nobody noticed how he pushed his limits to save us and they cheered as if it was only natural for him to be the hero again.

Later the heroes scolded Izu for running into danger like that but they were also impressed by Katsuki's quirk and praised him. It was bitter sweet for me, getting both ends of the stick. Surprisingly I also got several offers from them.

Me and Izu wanted to apologise to All Might but the reporters were huddled around him. So, we headed home deciding that we can apologize another time or some other way. At least it was impossible right now. "I can't believe the both of us ran like that without our feet even listening to us " I said.

"Wait that was also why you ran into danger? I thought you did that on purpose and also because I ran first" Izu said surprised.

"I didn't even notice you until I started to run and well I guess I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone and protect you too."

"DEKU!! FIRESPIT!!"

We turned back to see Katsuki running toward us. He stopped once we turned and seemed out of breath. "Listen. I would never ask weaklings like you to help me. Don't think you could look down on me."

HUH?!

"Huh, got that? I was fine by myself! You're just a quirkless failure and a weakling who uselessly tried to help and you wouldn't even cut it as a cop or a sidekick. You didn't help me. You did nothing, don't forget that!" he turns around and walks away like a crab "I don't owe you anything!"

"What just happened?!"

We reached home half an hour later, silent and in a state of shock. Both of us were caught in our own world of processing.

Flashback

After Katsuki left, All Might jumped in giving us both a mild heart attack, "I AM HEERRE!!" he shouted in his buff voice.

"All Might! Where'd you come from? How'd you get rid of all those reporters?" Izu asked.

He said something about standing for justice and not sunbites. It made sense to him I guess. Then in the middle of saying I AM ALL MIGHT! He squirted blood, reverting to his weak form. Both me and Izu screamed, clearly not used to this form of his.

He coughed a bit, "Young man and young lady, I came to thank you both. And also to discuss your question from earlier." He pointed at Izu. "If you hadn't told me about your life, if you hadn't run into that fight. I would have been a worthless bystander watching from the crowd, so thanks"

"No! It was my fault the villain was there to begin with, I got in the way of your hero work. I wasted your energy, and, not to mention your time." Izu said. I also spoke up agreeing with him and admitting my fault as well. The villain would have been safely in custody if not for us.
