I didn't thank Hawks yet for helping me last night. I couldn't right now but I'll just find the right time while catching up to him like always.

The day went on as usual and we went around the city still chasing Hawks but to no avail like always.

This time the area was a little farther away so Tokoyami took some time to catch up and I landed as I saw Hawks' feathers lifting up a truck that fell in a large construction hole.

I helped him with my fire and tried lifting more than his feathers did, while making sure the flames that despite being at the lowest temperatures, didn't go near the explosive or parts that contained the fuel.

After we were done and the people thanked Hawks, I decided it was time, "I couldn't yesterday but thanks a lot Hawks for helping me calm down yesterday and coming over to help when I was worried." I smiled.

Hawks looked at me with a oblivious blink and then suddenly switched to a wide cheery grin, tilting his head to the side, "No problem! I can't let my nugget go through something like that alone"

"I'll let the nugget pass, but just this once" I said warningly with a glare.

"Doesn't matter if you do or not nugget"

I tried to ignore him.

The entire week was mostly monotonous, though by the end I had significantly improved my speed. Hawks always went faster than me even when I improved just to push me more. Just how much faster can he go??

I had the pleasure to meet Mrs. Sumi (refer to chapter 6) and her dog. She was startlingly just as Hawks described and the entire time Hawks had to act casual while hiding his obviously uncomfortable and annoyed expression while she clung to him crying crocodile tears. Mrs. Sumi evidently had a super strong crush on him. Quite literally too.

She sort of ignored me while clinging to Hawks as if she didn't even consider my competition, and that was a good thing cuz my face was twisted, trying my hardest not to laugh. In the end I just turned around with my hands covering my mouth. Tokoyami only sweatdropped sympathetically at the scene.

Today was the last day of the internship, tomorrow morning we'll depart back to Shizuoka and home.

At the end of the day after the last mission we were leisurely walking back to the agency through the bustling streets. The sun was setting as darkness rose along with all the tinkering lights brightening up the street where they were present along with the lights from inside all the shops and restaurants.

"Aw man, you guys are going back tomorrow, this week just flew by. I'm gonna miss having you around!" Horus said.

"Yeah, I really enjoyed having you guys as interns, it's amazing how you two have been running after Hawks the entire time without even taking a break" -Parawave

"I couldn't catch up though, every single time somehow he's always one step ahead of me.. more like ten steps. But I'll catch up one day you guys can count on that!" I said.

"I agree, it has been a privelege working with you, thank you for taking care of us this whole week" Tokoyami stopped and bowing down.

"Yes, thank you!" I bowed down too.

"No problem!" Horus raised his hands in front of him with an awkward smile, "come on, let's get back to the agency"

Parawave nodded beside him.

Hawks was up in the air looking about the city and then flew down beside us walking at our pace too after folding his wings in.

"It's the last day! How about we all go for a dinner at the Yakimo barbeque as a goodbye for these little hatchlings?" Hawks asked smiling and hung one arm on each of mine and Tokoyami's shoulders with his wings drawing us together. Well it was warmer.
