The Matchmaker || Huening Kai

30; e̶n̶d̶i̶n̶g̶

At that same day and time, y/n was just walking home together with her brother, Yeonjun. While he was still perplexed on why his sister suddenly changed today, from being the talkative person she is to being all quiet and bringing the atmosphere in a deafening silence.

It's been minutes of walking, yet there's no words coming out from y/n's mouth until now. She looks anxious and as if she wasn't in a good mood to talk to someone right now. "Are you okay?" Yeonjun asked out of concern.

Much to his surprise, she only nodded and not spill any word. Which is a bit unusual for him since he knows his sister too much, that she will definitely speak a lot of things not according to the question he threw.

"Your actions say otherwise" Yeonjun added as they both stopped walking when they both finally reached the front of their house.

Facing her brother, Yeonjun, she looked up at him and say, "Why did you bothered to ask if you already knew?" Nonchalantly, she said.

Before she could ever open the gate of their house, Yeonjun held her wrist which made her stopped from further walking,"If this is all about Huening Kai---"

"it's not all about him! Now, can you let go of my wrist as I want to cry so badly now. And I don't want you to see me crying---" y/n didn't finished what he's about to say, when her brother suddenly pulled her into a warm embrace while she was so shocked to what he did.

Her brother isn't the sweetest nor kindest brother she can say, he's annoying, irritating, a pest in her life but probably in a good way.

y/n couldn't bare it much longer, she finally released the tears that wanting to escape even from the beginning in Yeonjun's hold. Yeonjun turned away, refusing to get emotional too at the sight of his sister crying in his embrace. But he couldn't help but to hug her tighter, asking, "you like him, do you?"

and without any second thought, y/n answered. "yes."

"then why don't you tell him?"

"For what? He already gave up to me that fast" it hits harder as the point of her crying finally explode.

As Yeonjun broke the hug, y/n was still crying while wiping her own tears,trying to dry it up for their parents to not see it incase they planned on finally walking inside their house.

"You know what sis, men like us, really tend to give up to something we like or love in able for those we gave up to be free and happy" Yeonjun started speaking, as y/n stopped wiping her tears to look up at him again.

"so huening kai didn't do anything wrong at all. He was brave enough to give his happiness to someone and he endured the pain beyond all of that" Yeonjun added, smiling while holding her left cheek, wiping her tears using his thumb.

y/n seemingly realized that maybe her brother was right. That all brave boys can do is to let go to someone they love but eventually needed to be free. Letting go is not being a coward, but brave enough to endure the pain it will caused them once they let go of that someone they loved.

While y/n looked down thinking of what he said, Yeonjun looked straight behind her, smiling at the sight of Huening Kai and his friends walking towards them with a quiet entrance. "and i think.... now's the time to confess little sis"

y/n looked up again at him with confusion clearly visible in her eyes. "what?"

y/n turned her back around to face wherever Yeonjun was looking at, and find her heart beating seemingly so fast. "y/n" in just an instant, Huening Kai is now infront of her while his friends, including Beomgyu, Taehyun and Soobin walked towards Yeonjun to let them talk.

She couldn't help but to hide her smile at the sight of Huening Kai finally infront of him, and with a bright look in his face. Finally, she can now able to see the Huening Kai she once met before. The handsome, bright looking one.

y/n's eyes couldn't get more wide when all of a sudden Huening Kai leaned closer to her, and whispered, "I already found your match"

her smile soon faded, at the thought of remembering how they once argued with that since Huening Kai said it was Taehyun whom she's destined to. But everything's changed now, she wants Huening Kai to be her match, her soulmate, her first and last love.

"The matchmaker himself... he is your match" Huening Kai uttered with a mischievous smile crept on his handsome face.

y/n soon found herself smiling with what he said, as all she wants now is to be a match of a matchmaker.

Yeonjun seemed to be a proud older brother, while the others too are smiling at the sight upon them. Until Taehyun suddenly asked, "Wait....are we really sure that y/n likes you, Huening Kai?"

They all laughed as they saw Huening Kai glared at Taehyun for ruining his so called magical moment that he's first time experiencing right now, and who knows? Maybe the last time.

Huening Kai was more than ready to judge and punch Taehyun at this moment but something that y/n said made him tamed from being a tiger to a cute little cat, "Yes. I like him"

Looking straight into her eyes, he smiled. He cupped her cheeks, as he leaned closer and closer. Feeling each others' nervous breathing, they waited for their lips to touch not until....

"guys! we have something to confess too!!" Soobin interrupted, that made them all looked at him.

He proudly held Yeonjun's hand and raised it confidently. "we are dating!!"

Yeonjun was merely shocked at what he've done. Because as far as he know, they aren't the main lead of this story. They all looked at each other, not surprised at the thing they confessed, they shrugged and yelled,

"we knew!!" They all yelled in unison, synchronized by the ceaseless laughter that filled the atmosphere.

Huening Kai always tend to help people to find their love, little did he know, that he will also find love on his journey of being a matchmaker.

Indeed, he gains love, by giving love.
