(Y/N) sat watching the seconds go by during her final lesson. She hadn't told Demetri about her lunchtime encounter nor her after school plans. When the bell finally rang she was the first out of class. Marching down the hallway.
As she made it outside the school, her phone rang. Pulling it out of her pocket she saw Demetri's name on the screen, she smiled before tapping the green button and answering.
"Ahoy mate." She greeted.
"Good afternoon M'lady." Demetri mocked. "I'm heading to the diner later do you wanna join? Chocolate milk on me?"
(Y/N) sighed. "I'm sorry but I don't think I can. I need to get this project finished before tomorrow. But we can go on Saturday? Fries on me?"
"Sounds like a plan. I'll bring the milkshake and you bring the fries." Demetri chuckled. "See you tomorrow (Y/N). "
She smiled. "Bye Demetri."
Seconds after putting down her phone Hawk appeared beside her, looking intimidating as usual. Memories of what happened as lunch curled round her mind momentarily.
"You ready?" He asked. "My mom has been asking for you. She's excited to see you." He said walking off. Knowing she wouldn't be too far behind.
"Really?" (Y/N) wondered, also excited to see his mum. She could remember when her, Eli and Demetri would stay over and were often spoilt by his mother, especially when she baked cookies. "I can't wait to see her."
The walk to his house was mostly silent, apart from when he told her about the possibility of a motorbike in his future. She thought it was cool but didn't say it outloud.
As if she would stroke this assholes ego.
When they finally walked up to his house she felt a wave of memories wash over her. And when she saw his mother they both jumped at one another. His mom wrapped her in a tight hug. "Oh (Y/N) it's so good to see you."
"You too. I've missed you." (Y/N) smiled, enjoying the hug. It had been so long since she's had one.
"You should have come visit sooner! Come inside, I've got some cookies waiting just for you." She said, taking (Y/N) by the hand and pulling her inside.
"You don't have to tell me twice." She laughed, following her inside.
Hawk watched the two from afar. A faint smile upon his lips.
--------------
(Y/N) had to be dragged away from Eli's mother in order to do the project. Complaints came from both of them but Hawk continued to drag his partner up the stairs. "C'mon Eli I've not seen her in years!"
"We have stuff to do." He stated bluntly.
She groaned and followed him into his room. Shocked at how much it had changed. His Star Wars bed covered were gone, replaced by plain black ones. His blue walls were now red, and instead of being covered with movie posters he now had karate or band posters. All of the nerd stuff had gone. There were no comics or action figures. Nothing.
"Yikes." She gulped as she looked around. "This is.... different."
"What you don't like it?" Hawk asked, seeing the confusion on her face.
"Not really..." she said truthfully. Earning a scoff from him.
She wasted no time in pulling out all the papers for their project. "I've completed the bulk of it. I just need to complete my examples of evidence and the conclusion." She said as he sat next to her.
