When (Y/N) got home she saw a familiar car in the driveway. She thanked Demetri's mom for the ride home and made her way up the driveway, grateful she had cleaned the house a few days before.

She had hardly made it through the door before her uncle engulfed her in a hug by her uncle. "I came back as soon as I could. I heard what happened at the school. Are you okay?" He bombarded her with questions. He stepped back to look at her, seeing how pitiful she looked having to support herself with crutches. "How the hell did you get caught up in a karate fight? You don't even know karate!"

(Y/N) sighed. "Two of my best friends were trying to kill each other Jimmy. I tried to step in and stop it but got caught in the crossfire... lesson learned I guess." She forced a smile. "But believe me, I'm the best case scenario. You heard about Uncle Johnny's studen right?"

He nodded. "Michael, right? I heard he was in a coma. Poor kid."

"Miguel." She corrected. "And yeah, even if he does pull through I heard that the injuries are so bad he may never walk again."

"It'll be good news then that the kid who killed him gets put away." Her uncle muttered, walking out of the room.

(Y/N) winced at the mention of Robby. She had been so worried about him since he'd disappeared, and she'd not heard anything from him.

"Oh by the way." Her uncle popped his head back round the door. "Theres a letter for you.. I put it on your bed. I think someone wrote it since it only has your name on the front and no mail stamp."

Her heart dropped. Was that from Robby?

"Thanks Jimmy. I'm heading out with a friend soon so don't worry about dinner for me." She said as she tried to get to her room as fast as she could.

Jimmy called something out but she didn't pay attention. She shoved her door open and saw the small envelope placed on the edge of her bed. She threw her bag on the floor and sat on the bed, letter in hand.

She pried open the envelope and pulled out the neatly folded letter inside, opening it up to see unfamiliar handwriting.

'(Y/N),

I'm sorry. About the fight and about us. I have no idea how to put my feelings onto paper, or into words. All I know is that I'm sorry and I wish things were different. I wish I could see you but I can't risk getting you in trouble.

I just want you to know that I'm okay. I can make it on my own out here. I don't know how long it will be till I see you again, maybe never, so I want you to know that I care about you too.

I hope you're okay. And I hope you can forgive me.

Love,
Robby.'

For a while she sat in silence, clutching the letter. Reading and re-reading the words written by Robby.

She only looked up from the letter when she heard her uncle calling her name.

"(Y/N) your friend is here!"

She stuffed the letter into her bedside drawer before grabbing her crutches and headingnout of her room to meet Hawk.

He stood with her uncle by the front door, making small talk about school. (Y/N) watched carefully as her uncle was raving on about how he would kick the ass of the one to hurt her ankle. Totally unaware that the culprit stood right in front of him, looking rather nervous.

"Hey.. ready to go?" She asked, much to Hawk's relief.

"Hell yeah." He smirked. "Need help?" He offered her his arm, which she politely refused.
