Tara
After Luke called me a slut I was furious. I wanted to walk right into Zoe's room and tell her everything. I left Luke at the hammock and stormed back to the house to find her. I even got as far as barging into her room where She was working on a project with Blake. They looked at me strange and asked me what was wrong. I was just about to tell them everything when I had a sudden change of heart.
If I told Zoe everything that has been happening, I will lose Luke for good. He will never forgive me for not letting him tell her himself. I know Luke was being a jerk today but he didn't mean it, he was just scared to hurt Zoe. I still knew deep down that he wanted me, not her, and I wasn't ready to blow that chance out of frustration.
I left Zoe's room with no explanation and I have been avoiding both Luke an Zoe ever since. It has been two days since that happened and I think I was ready to talk to Luke about how I was feeling. I was done with sneaking around with him and I needed to tell him that instead of letting this situation continue.
Luke and Asher were sitting by the pool like they do almost every morning while everyone else was still working away on school work. I could hear them talking about who they thought would be picked for tomorrow's excursion.
I cleared my throat to let them know I was behind them and they both stopped their conversation to look. Luke seemed surprised to see me.
"Hey Tara." Asher smiled. He obviously couldn't read the tension in the room.
"Hi." I responded. "Luke, can I talk to you for a second?"
"Uhh, sure. Asher we'll be right back." Luke said.
He got up and followed me down to the beach. We went to one of the cabana beds and sat silently while we looked out at the sea.
"So you decided not to tell." He stated. I could hear in his voice that he was relieved.
"Yep."
"Thank you."
Now that I was alone with him I forgot everything I wanted to say. He made me so mesmerized by his every move.
"What did you want to talk about?" He asked.
"Don't you think you have something to say to me?" I was indicating the fact that he needed to apologize for calling me a slut.
"Like what?" He asked. He looked confused which made me angry.
"I don't know Luke, maybe sorry for being an asshole the other day?"
He rolled his eyes.
"Sorry." He said insincerely.
I really couldn't believe him sometimes. I was regretting once again not telling Zoe everything that happened when I had the chance.
"You need to tell her."
"I will, just not yet." He sighed. I didn't believe him.
"No. You need to tell her now!" I demanded.
"Why are you so adamant about that now Tara? Why can't we just keep it a secret for as long as we can?" He was angry with me I could tell, but I didn't care. I was angry at him too.
Why did he want to hide us from the house? I didn't want to be the girl he snuck around with anymore, I wanted to be his only girl.
"Because I want to be with you Luke! I want to be able to go on excursions with you, and hangout in the house with you but you aren't letting that happen because of Zoe." I blurted out.
