"Are you sure you've taken everything?"

"I do, mom. It's a survival show, I'm not going to, you know, hang out a lot." the dark-haired boy was staring at his bed, full of little useless things he wasn't comfortable to leave: an old, faded Charmander plushie, his Slytherin medallion and, last but not least, his black shabby book, supposed to be his "sketchbook". Or, better to say, his diary-for-choreographies. Actually, it was already full in every single inch of every single page, but he thought he could contain something important not to leave behind. He just felt that.

"So, are you not going to have a personal hygiene, right? T-shirts, sweatpants, three pair of sneakers, you're even wondering on taking mr. Salazar Slytherin medallion, but I still can't see a toothbrush here... Are they giving you time to sleep, at least?" the woman said with a little smile on her lips.

"Wha- THE TOOTHBRUSH!" that's when he ran away from his room to jump to the bathroom and take all he needed from there, and totally forgotten until then.

Wooyoung was a trainee in a little company in Seoul. He started wondering about becoming an idol just a couple of years before, when some friends found out he could be a great singer, further than really good dancer.

Dancing was the main reason, by the way.
He couldn't remember a time in his life he did not spent dancing. He never felt good at doing something, even spending time with someone, as he did while dancing. He was that type of introvert who felt good just by doing that something which drove everything, every worry but your soul away, your body becoming one thing with the music, you left alone with your feelings.
Moving was his safe place. He had never wondered doing anything else, but school provided different free-time activities he was obligated to do, in order to convince his parents to let him attend dance lessons on the evening. That's when he discovered he kinda liked singing, too. He couldn't say he was good at it, but he really enjoyed this kind of glee-club activities.

It was his parents' ideas to make him join a company. Besides being very worried about his future, they spend a lot of money in his dance education, so they couldn't hide away their interest about him taking that as its official career. They couldn't afford one of the biggest agencies, but Wooyoung was still grateful for all the hard work, money and support they put into pushing him in that kind of life.

After one year and a half of training hard, M-net, one of the biggest korean broadcasting, finally announced a new survival show for trainees: Produce 101.
101 trainees were supposed to "subscribe" to the join the audition for the program. Then, after a two months training and accurate observation, the judges (together with outside guests, such as producers, singing trainers, dancers, other idols etc), just 30 of them could attend the program.
The final eight could make it into a group and debut. Instantly, after the program. No more training, no more pain.

Wooyoung couldn't help but being over excited at the thought.
He loves to practice, train, but it was really tough. What about debut the soon as possible? It did turn into his dream, definitely. He wanted to show everyone what he was capable of, no one scared him at all. He was just confident enough to come up to it.

He took the new toothbrush, shower gel and stuff from the bathroom, then soon returned to his room, where his mom still was. She was sitting on the bed, looking with blank eyes at his gadgets, thinking about something.

"Are you okay?" the male asks while putting everything in the luggage, finding the right spot, everything rigorously placed without making any mess.

"Yes, I am... Just thinking that, if you're going to debut, you're leaving. Basically, you're leaving now. I wasn't ready at all, I thought, you know, the training could last years..."

Wooyoung sat next to her, gently patting on her shoulder.
"You know, I will always be grateful to you and dad about everything you've done for me. We've always waited for this day to come, didn't we? I will make you proud when I'll debut. Because I will. Trust me." They leaned into a tight hug, her eyes leaving some silent tears while brushing his son's soft hair strands.

"I'm already proud of you, you know. You will rock it, I'm sure.
Now, it's time to make a decision: you trust more Salazar Slytherin or Charmander? If I can tell you my opinion, you and Charmander have been friends for longer. But it's up to you." She pointed the objects on the sheets with a questioning look.

"Ugh—I can't decide. I mean, Charmander and I are in a very long-time relationship, but Salazar... He can help me when I need, you know? And, of course, I will bring the sketchbook. I can't live without it."

"How is Salazar going to help you? Aren't you going to free any giant killer snake around the building, are you?"

Wooyoung burst into a loud laugh and clap his hands in response.
"Hey, don't tell ym secrets out lout!"
