"Hi! I um am Y/n! Nice to meet you! What is your name?"
"R-Ray."
"Like Ray of sunshine!?"
You were my only ray of hope.

"You are a book-worm Ray..."
"So? Leave if you are uninterested."
"Hold your horses mister! Can you make me your companion?"
You taught me how to live in this cruel world.

Y/n smiled as she listened to the soft humming of Ray as he rested his head on her lap while she gently stroked his jet black hair.
I believed I was special to you even if I wasn't in general.

"Hey, Y/n?" Ray spoke as he got up from the comfortable seating positing against the tree trunk to look at Y/n.
"Hm?" she replied while being engrossed in her book.
"You have been quite recently." he stated making Y/n stop and lock eyes with him.
"I have?" she inquired, hesitant.
"Yeah and you look sad." he added.
"..." her eyes widened as she felt full of worry.
"Don't be like that. I hate seeing you like that. So please, smile for me." he requested softly.
Y/n exhaled before closing her eyes and when she opened them, the most beautiful, genuine and brightest smile graced her rosy lips.
"Better?" she asked making Ray's heart beat a thousand miles. Being the dummy he is he just averted his eyes to hide his red face and played with his hair while nodding slightly.
I thought you cared for me.

"I can't understand this! It is too tough!" Y/n whined.
"You are doing good enough, don't worry." Ray patted her head gently.
I was glad you helped me.

"What do you think of this story?" Y/n asked as she held a book.
"Not bad. It's relatable." Ray whispered flipping a page of his book.
"Relatable? A romance story for you? Cliché." Y/n looked at the book while a dust of pink covered her cheeks. 'I wonder who he is talking about.' she thought curiously.
I loved you.

"Ray~ Ray~ Listen!" I waved my hands frantically in front of the reading boy.
"You are annoying as heck." he spoke not even lifting his eyes from the book.
"You know when the sun sets-" I started rambling but was cut off.
"Get a life, Y/n! Why do you bother me so much?" I was so suprised I didn't realise I had stopped smiling.
"..." But I quickly replaced it and cheered,
"Well! That is obviously because I want to!"
"Get lost, I am trying to study."
"No! No! No!"
"Shut up," and so I continued to annoy the boy.
I thought that maybe I wasn't as much of a bother as you said me to be.

"Ray, where did you learn this lullaby from?" I asked as I laid my head on Ray's shoulder.
"My mother," he replied.
"Your mother? But how did you know your mother?" I asked keenly.
"That is a story for another time," he exhaled.
At the same time, I envied you.

"Y/n, what will you do when you go out?"
"Hm.... Let's see! Lead a nice life, helping others!"
But the truth is, Ray...

"Should we tell Y/n?" Norman asked.
"No, she is immature," Ray replied.
Me immature, huh? Really?
