Chapter 42: Bringing The Team Together

(Upstate New York)

Wanda's P.O.V

After a mostly relaxing day I decide to head to my room when I hear an explosion outside in the field.

I stand up and Vision appears next to me.

Wanda: What is it?

Vision: Wait here.

Vis then goes through the wall to check out what happened.

Whilst he's gone I feel someone standing behind and I know for a fact it's not Y/N. So I assume it's a threat so I uses my powers to pick up the knife on the kitchen counter and throw it at the intruder.

I then turn to see that it's Clint standing there.

He moves the knife away from his face.

Clint: Guess I should have knocked first.

Wanda: Oh my god! What are you doing here?

Clint walks over and shoots to arrows into the wall and the counter.

Clint: Disappointing my kids. We're supposed to go water skiing.

He then grabs my hand.

Clint: Come on, Y/N and Cap need our help.

As we walk away Vis comes back.

Vision: Clint. You should not be here.

Clint: Is that right? I retire for five minutes and it all goes to shit.

Vision: Consider the consequences of your actions.

Clint: Okay, there considered.

Vision then gets trapped in an electric field.

Clint: Come on, let's go.

Wanda: I think I've caused enough problems.

Clint then turns to face me.

Clint: Look Wanda, if you wanna mope you can go to high school. But if you wanna make amends you get off your ass.

After he said this I realised that I needed to help and Y/N and Steve as both of them would help me in a heart beat if I needed them. And I was not gonna get anywhere moping around feeling sorry for myself.

Once I come back to reality I realise that Vis has Clint in a hold.

I then create the red glow between my hands.

Wanda: Alright Vis, that's enough let him go. I'm leaving.

After he refuses I use my powers to shut down the mind stone and then push him through multiple floors of the base.

Clint then gets up.

Clint: Woah. Okay, we've got to grab something for Y/N then make one more stop.

Wanda: What is it?

Clint: I don't know. Y/N just said that it was a case under your guys bed.

I nod remembering him sliding that case under the bed on more than one occasion.

Y/N's P.O.V

After a long drive through Berlin we meet up with Sharon Carter under a highway bridge

As our car stops we see Sharon get out of her car.

Steve looks to me.

Steve: Alright, I'll go and talk to Sharon. You three stay in here.
