The cheers resounded through the streets, and echoed into the lobby. The parade-like celebration lasted for nearly half an hour.
Eventually the door to the lobby opened and Percy walked in with Annabeth.
"Mike, are you doing better?" Percy asked after spotting me
"I'm still alive, so I'd like to think I am"
"Look at you, already thinking like a demigod" he chuckled
"Percy, we need to go to Olympus" Annabeth hurried him
"The guard isn't here anymore, so things must've gotten serious" she continued
Were things not serious before? I nearly died...
"Guard?" I asked
"Did you not see him? He's the one who protects the elevator that goes up to Olympus. If he's gone..... that can only mean the defenses are falling" Percy answered
"C'mon" Percy beckoned
He and Annabeth walked into the elevator and began pressing buttons. Just before the doors closed, Percy jabbed his hand in between them and forced them open
"You guys should probably come with us" He said
"Why?" I asked
"Most of the injured campers are being treated in Olympus. Actually- I wanted to bring you up there originally, but Silena didn't want to comply" He said
I looked at Horikita for confirmation, and she nodded.
"There were too many people up there, too many people are curious about our relationship and I'm sure some of them would eavesdrop" she whispered
Understanding the situation, I slowly began to rise onto my feet. Horikita helping me stand up straight.
We slowly walked towards the elevator while Annabeth looked at us as if she was annoyed.
"Soooo, what exactly is up with you and Silena?" Percy asked
.......
"We-"
"They're childhood friends" Annabeth answered for us
"It's definitely not suspicious, especially since you're the one who answered for them" Percy sarcastically told her
"No, she's right." Horikita told him
"Wait- how'd you know that?" Percy questioned
"They told me...?" Annabeth said
"So while I was out there fighting for my life, you were having a conversation with these two?!"
"Stop being such a Drama Queen, the Drakon was being handled by Clarisse and the rest of the monster army was being manhandled by the other Ares cabin members" Annabeth retorted
"Then why was Percy out there?" I asked
"Because he needs to 'lead' the campers. But we all know the only one who the Ares cabin listens to is Clarisse"
"That reminds me, how did you convince Clarisse to come and help?" Percy asked, switching the subject
"Aya- Mike came up with a relatively simple plan" Horikita shifted the responsibility on to me
"I just told Silena to tell her that we needed her help"
......
"That's all it took?"
"Essentially"
"That-that doesn't make sense. We told her the same thing and she kept refusing us!" Annabeth yelled
