Percy POV:
Even with my invulnerability, I was still susceptible to being thrown around like a rag doll. This was exactly what was happening as Michael and Kronos exchanged blows.
Everyone formed a giant circle around the two fighters, wanting to watch but too scared to close in.
"Are you not gonna help him?" Thalia asked, appearing at my side with Silena, Grover, and Annabeth
"My body may be indestructible, but even I know it would be suicide to jump into that battle"
"I could tell, I shot a few arrows into the mix, but they never even made it near them" she responded
"Can't Hades help him?" Silena asked
"Hades? Help people? Pftttt" Annabeth and Grover laughed
"I- I understand he's the lord of the underworld, but shouldn't he understand that we need to win this fight?" Silena asked again
"Unfortunately, Hades would rather watch the world crumble than to help the children of his siblings" Thalia explained
"Even if he was the type to help, ancient laws forbid the gods to directly help heroes in their quest" I gave her more details
"I see" she finished
It was weird, when Charles died Silena was inconsolable. She would constantly cry herself to sleep.
But then she just stopped. Her personality completely changed from being the social butterfly, to an introverted outcast.
I had thought it may have been an affect of her mental health deteriorating, but now I'm not sure what to believe......
*BANG*
I looked over at the source of the sound, and found an army of skeletons surround the monster army. Our moment of temporary truce broke, as all out war started again.
"Gods damnit! Can't I get a bit of rest" Thalia shouted as she notched an arrow into her bow
She must have picked it up from someone's body, since last I saw she didn't have one
"Whose skeleton army is that?" Silena questioned as she drew her own weapon out
"It has to be Nico..." Annabeth sounded exasperated
Im not sure what he was thinking, we needed the rest more than the monsters did. We gained nothing from starting the battle again
"Don't worry you little shits, just stay put and let daddy handle it" spat a voice from inside the skeleton army
Nico walked into view as the skeleton army pushed forward. I looked around to find who had talked before hand.
"The fuck are you looking behind me for" Nico smiled
"Nico?" Annabeth looked at him confused
I don't blame her, why was Nico talking like this?
"Ah yeah, I guess thats who I am" he drew closer
I instinctively held my sword up, and Thalia kept her bow trained on him. There could be a chance that this Nico was just a monster posing as someone we knew
"I'd love to play around with you two-" he winked at Thalia
"But I have bigger issues right now"
This is definitely not the Nico I know.... what the hades is happening
"I'd like to know this as well" Hades shadow traveled right next to our group
I suppose he was able to read my face
