"Hold on- the Ares cabin should still be down there. I mean, Clarisse was blessed by Ares; she's almost as invulnerable as I am!" Percy shouted
"They targeted her first. A Hyperborean iced her" Thalia responded
"Iced?" Horikita asked
"You-? It doesn't matter. She's frozen in a block of ice. She's not gonna help any time soon" Thalia answered
"Wait, so where are the rest of her cabin members at?" Annabeth asked
"Didn't you listen? They're gone. Most are just knocked out, but we've had a lot of fatalities"
These people are quite strange. They don't over react too much to the deaths of people they know.
"So then whose defending the lobby?" Percy asked
He didn't even ask about the deaths? Am-am I the strange one for caring?
".....the only one still standing is Chiron..."
.......
"Mike, stay here. I need to do this alone" Percy muttered
That's fine, I didn't plan on following you anyway.
"Percy! Stop being rash! If we wait here, we can funnel them through the elevator." Annabeth told him
"Annabeth use that smart head of yours. Can you really picture a monster army from the depths of Tartarus, led by Kronos himself, using an elevator up to Olympus?"
Well now that he mentioned it, that would be a strange sight
"Well then how else do you think they'll get up here?" She countered
"The more the gods falter in power, the stronger Kronos becomes; Olympus will fall."
"So your plan is to commit suicide in a one on one against the father of the gods?!"
"Annabeth! You more than anyone should understand that I'm the only one who can do this"
"No you aren't! Didn't you listen to Rachel? You aren't the hero!"
"I don't have a choice in the matter. If I don't hold him off, everyone will die"
....
"Then im going with you" Annabeth steeled herself
"No- you can't endanger yourself-"
"Oh but you can?"
"You know that I have the curse of Achilles, I'm the only one who can face his attacks head on"
Wait- you've been invulnerable to attacks this whole time, and you've been making me fight these dangerous battles?
"Knowing you, that won't be enough to stop you from getting killed"
"Blah-ha-ha! I'm going too!" Grover bleated
"Wait Grov-"
"You can't stop me! We've been in it together since the beginning!" He shouted. He'd be much more convincing if he wasn't shaking
"I can't believe you guys.... what would I do without you guys" he chuckled
"Probably die" Grover and Annabeth said at the same time
"I'm going as well"
"Thalia?"
"Luke is my responsibility, I should've killed him when I had the chance. I must remove this stain on my honor" she said
Percy simply nodded at this
I wanted to ask many questions, but decided not to ruin their little moment. Well I also didn't want to be dragged into the fight
