"Pasensya na sa abala, Cal,"

Tumango kaagad ako kay Max nang umupo ako sa couch ng opisina niya. He called me last night about an emergency. Hindi ko alam kung ano pero may kutob na ako kung ano 'yon. Hindi nga lang ako sigurado kaya ayaw kong pangunahan siya.

"I can't just... tell them about this. Ikaw lang ang naiisip kong makakatulong sa amin," Dagdag pa niya.

"Isla Feliz?" I asked him.

That was my only idea. He bought that island years ago and I was also the one with him that day when we checked it. It's a good asset so he really spent most of his money for that piece of land.

Tumango siya sa tanong ko.

"We're planning to go there by the end of February until August. Hanggang sa manganak lang siya—"

"Manganak?" Ulit ko pa.

Nagkamali yata ako ng rinig pero tumango siya kaya napagtanto kong..

"So we're finally having another Buenvenidez...." I uttered.

He chuckled and nodded. "We hope so. But the situation is hard.."

Kumunot ang noo ko sa kanya. Lumapit siya at umupo sa katapat kong upuan bago nagsimulang magkwento.

Wala akong alam na pwedeng sabihin pagkatapos niyang magpaliwanag. The situation is really hard, indeed. It's a matter of life and death situation for their child and his girlfriend. Hindi maganda ang kondisyon ni Lili kaya gusto nilang itago sa pamilya 'yon.

Syempre noong una, hindi ako pumayag. It was the time they're talking about for pete's sake! Our family has the rights to know about this. But then, this is not mine to tell so I respected what they wanted.

We planned it secretly. Bawal local flights ko, doon ang punta namin sa isla para sa pagdadala ng mga gamit. We used a chauffeur for the things and on the exact day they're leaving, we used a small aircraft that could accomodate us.

Wala akong pagaalinlangang tumulong. If I was in that position, I'd do the same. Kitang kita ko kung papaano alagaan ni Max si Lili. They really love each other. Napapangiti nalang ako habang pinapanood sila dahil para talaga silang 'yung mga nasa movies. Romantic shits and fairytales.

Their sudden disappearance created a noise and Caius decided to cover it up with his dating issues. It's really hard to keep a secret when people are nosy.

Parang si Caius lang. Ayaw akong tigilan. Patuloy ang pangungulit niya sa akin tungkol kay Rich.

We were doing fine. Since we entered this "let's try and figure it out" relationship, everything feels good. Simula noong binigyan niya ako ng posisyon sa buhay niya, mas nagkaroon ako ng dahilan para mas mahalin siya, kahit alam kong isang araw, pwede ring mawala ang lahat.

"Kuya, to be honest, I don't trust you." Caius reminded me.

I chuckled and gazed at him. Ngayon nalang ako umuwi sa bahay, papagalitan niya pa ako.

"I know." I uttered.

He sighed, "Rich is my bestfriend. Nakita ko na kung paano siya umiyak sa lalaki, ayaw kong balang araw, iiyakan ka rin niya." Aniya.

Alam ko naman 'yon. Given my history, I'm more likely to be seen as the one who breaks heart but in reality, it's the other way around.

She's more capable of hurting me because I was so sure when I entered this. Siya lang ang hinihintay ko pero hanggang ngayon, wala paring kasiguraduhan kung mamahalin niya ba ako pabalik o hanggang pagsubok lang 'to.
