{Human!Threepio} High School AU [Request]

      The chemistry classroom buzzed with conversation as students bubbled about their spring breaks to one another. At the front of the class, Ms. Amidala called out, "Settle down class! I know it's exciting to be back after spring break, but now is the time to get serious for the upcoming chemistry exam." The class collectively groaned at the mention of the exams. Everyone knew they were nearly impossible to ace, with most straight-A students celebrating a C if they were lucky.

     "Now, now. Don't be discouraged. Because of the unusual school year we've had, the test will be a lab experiment done in pairs with a lab report to replace the multiple choice exam questions." The news of pairs was definitely an upgrade, but the loss of the simple multiple choice questions was a big blow for even the brightest of the students in your chemistry class. Next to you, the class representative, a tall blonde student with the nickname 'Threepio', groaned as well.

     He knew that everyone would now try to take advantage of him by asking, more like begging, him to be their partner for the exam, and he was beyond frustrated. He scanned the room, mumbling incoherently under his breath about the compatibility he had with each of the students. He had almost run through the class roster until he felt a gentle tap on his shoulder. To his surprise, he looked up to notice you were looking at him with a rather concerned expression, "Threepio, are you having an anxiety attack?"

     The boy froze. Was he? Maybe this slight malfunction in his mind was what allowed him to actually speak to the beautiful girl in front of him, "No-uh...I was umm comparing our com-i uh mean our classmate's compatibility on the-um this project?"

     You chuckled, noticing his adorable flustered state, "So who are you going to pair up with? It seems everyone wants to be your partner."

     He froze, taking note of how each student had now turned around to look back at him. At one point, his best friend, nicknamed Artoo snickered rather loudly from his chair, "I think he's already decided." He sent the blonde a wink, "Come on, Goldie."

Threepio blushed harshly as he finally turned back to you. "___, would you be my partner?"

Students around the room groaned as they realized that they would now have to find new partners, but you smiled brightly, excited to work with the golden-haired boy you'd been crushing on for months now.

"I'd be honored, Threepio."

happy may fourth!! may this may the fourth be filled with all kinds of star wars fun!! i'm on hiatus until i graduate in two weeks or so, but i might try to squeeze in a request if time permits today. love you all and...
