{Boba Fett} Chasing the Bounty

You are a bounty hunter working for Jabba the Hutt. You're a pretty good shot with a blaster and a helluva pilot which has helped you on many jobs. However, your jobs have dwindled due to one bounty hunter who continuously beats you to every target, Boba Fett.
Boba Fett has made a name for himself on Tatooine. Other bounty hunters either fear him, respect him, or envy him. You fit into the latter. You hate the Mandalorian for stealing your jobs and having to race to capture/eliminate your targets. To make matters worse, Jabba likes to pair you two on the same jobs to make sure they are done quickly and effectively.
This time, Jabba has you of both standing in front of his seat in his palace. He places tracking fobs in both of your hands and gives you the details verbally. The mission is to capture an ex-assassin who has evaded paying back his debts to Jabba and bring him back to the palace alive. He's no good dead. The Hutt dismisses the two and they both head to their ships, determined to beat the other.
Slave One is in the air and gone before you, but you've taken the time to plan a route that will take you through a nebula but will save a day's travel. You check your E-11 blasters and put on your armor, similar to that of a Rebel shocktrooper. Then you take off.
You successfully make it through the nebula after taking more damage than expected. However, you see the planet, Jakku come into view a whole 24 hours faster than if she had followed the trade route Boba Fett most likely took.
You landed at Niima Outpost and set out on a speeder bike after grabbing your long-range rifle and a DL-44 blaster pistol for short-range. The assassins last known position was near the Sinking Fields North of the Outpost. As you race across the dunes, you notice a man laying face down in the sand. You get of your bike as you look around. There's a cliff far off and you see a small glint of silver. Immediately, you dash behind a dune but not before a blast hits you in the left shoulder. You cry out in pain as grip your shoulder. Suddenly, the sound of another bike rings in your ear. Boba Fett. You ponder letting him walk into the same trap as you. However, at the last moment you speak into your commlink that connects you to other bounty hunters in Jabba's circle. "Boba, this is ____. This is a trap, the assassin is hiding in the cliffs to the East. He has a heavily modified, long-range rifle. I've been hit and am hiding behind the sand dune to your left." You lift your hand in the air enough to flag down Boba, but not high enough to have it shot by the assassin. Now, you wait to see if the Mandalorian will heed your warning.
     Boba Fett listens as his biggest rival sends out a warning. This has to be some kind of trick to get ahead. He looks up at the cliffs and sees a glint of silver. He banks left and speeds over to where you claim to be hiding out. Immediately, he notices the blast wound to your shoulder. She's injured. He turns to his bike and grabs a medical kit. The sun begins to set as he begins to stitch her wound up. Up until now, neither bounty hunter has said a word. You are the first to speak. "Why are you helping me? I'm just slowing you down, and I can handle myself-" You put your fist in your mouth to stop yourself from crying out in pain as he tightens the stitch.
     "Really?" He says sarcastically. "But to answer your question with another question, why did you warn me?" You simply look at him.
     "I don't know." You say as you look down.
     He finishes up and places the kit back on his speeder bike. "What's the plan?"
     "As of right now, I don't have one. Use the heat vision scope on my rifle and see if you can locate him on that cliff. He has the high ground. If he's smart, he'll stay up there." You suggest.
     He does as you say, and then he sits back down beside you. "He's up there in the same spot as earlier. The best option is to go around and try to capture him while he's unsuspecting." He gets up and begins packing his things.
     You shake your head. "I hate to admit it, but if either of us want that bounty, we are going to have to work together."
     He chuckles, "No way. You're injured and I'm not gonna have any deadweight while trying to complete this job."
     "Fine, do it your way, but when I take him before Jabba, remember you missed your chance at half the profits." You say.
     "Ha, you wouldn't have made it out here if I hadn't stitched you up." He remarks.
     "You would be dead by now if I hadn't warned you!" You quip back.
     "Well thank you, but we are now even. You do it your way and I'll do it mine. See you back on Tatooine." He says harshly as he hops on his speeder and takes the long way around.
     "Ugh, the insufferable prick!" You exclaim angrily. You have a better plan, but it's going to be difficult. You have some flash grenades on your belt. At night, the assassin will rely on the heat vision scope. By setting off the flash grenades, you can blind the assassin and speed directly to the cliff.
     You climb onto your speeder and set off. When the first blast hits your bike, you throw up the first grenade. The assassin is momentarily blinded. You speed at full throttle to the cliffs. Before the assassin can regain their sight, you throw up a second grenade. You are at the final stretch with one last grenade. You throw it up but it never goes off. You swerve to miss a blast as someone behind you shoots at the assailant. You turn behind you to see the Mandalorian. He throws up a flash grenade as you both reach the cliffs. You both dismount and race up the cliff face. Once successfully over the edge, Boba jet packs in front of the running assassin as you come up behind him. The assailant drops his weapon and you place cuffs on his hands.
    After the target is bound, Boba Fett begins to walk away. "Wait!" You call out. He turns to face you. "I couldn't have done it without you. We should bring him in together."
     He shakes his head. "You taught me something today. Never make rivals with a possible ally. Take him and the bounty."
     "We make a good team, you know." You close the distance with the prisoner at your side.
     Boba nods, "We do. How would you feel about a partnership, ____?"
    You smirk. "That sounds nice." You shake hands. "I'm looking forward to working with you."

A/N So I used the plot from an episode of the Mandalorian, which is an amazing show if you haven't seen it. This is a one-shot I wrote for my little sister who LOVES Boba Fett. I hope you enjoyed it! Have a Merry Christmas!!🎁🎄
