Once you made it inside Ben's small hut, you got to work putting the protocol droid back together. Luke and Ben begin to talk about his father. He's always wanted to know about his parents.
"I was once a Jedi Knight, same as your father." Obi-Wan leans back in his chair, stroking his chin. You finish with Threepio and turn to Luke as he looks down.
"I wish I'd known him." You pat his shoulder sympathetically.
"He was the best star pilot in the galaxy and a cunning warrior," Obi-Wan begins to tell Luke. "I understand you've become quite a good pilot yourself."
He's right. He's the best around, without a doubt. You smile at memories of the two of you delivering assortments of goods around the planet. Luke modestly shakes his head with a small grin.
Obi-Wan looks off into space, "And he was a good friend."
"So you two were close?" you ask.
The hermit nods, "Like brothers." Suddenly, his face change as he looks as if you as he's just recognized you, "In fact, Luke's father and I assisted your mother on a couple missions."
Your head snaps up. My mother? You give him a confused look, "You knew her too?"
"Indeed I did. Your mother was the queen of Corellia. Her planet loved her, until the war started, that's when she went into hiding. Corellia became a playground for the war. She was one of the bravest women I've ever met."
Luke's jaw drops as he looks to you, "____, you're, you're a princess?"
You shake your head, "No. Absolutely not. I'm sorry Ben, but that's not possible. I was born and raised here. My mother wasn't a queen. She was a family friend of the Lars family."
"Young ____, I am telling the truth. For years, your mother was a just ruler, until the people turned against her. They wanted to participate in the Clone Wars, but she wouldn't condone actions of war. It was my job to relocate her here, where she would be safe. She made me swear never to tell you until you were old enough to bear the burden. ____, that time is now," he explains.
You look to Luke, "I-I can't." You rise to your feet, "I need a moment." You walk out of the hut, taking shaking, shallow breaths. Luke tries to follow, but Ben stops him.
"She needs to be alone right now. In the meantime, I have something for you."
When you step out for a moment, you kneel in the sand, grabbing fistfuls and letting it slip through your fingers. This isn't real. It's just a dream. I'm just a girl from Tatooine. I'm not important. Not to anyone. I'm nobody from nowhere.
You don't know how much time has passed before a hand lays on your shoulder. "____? Are you okay?"
Your whip around to meet Luke's sky blue eyes. You give him a small smile, "Yeah, it's just a lot to take in. Whatcha got there?" You point to his lightsaber.
"It was my father's lightsaber. Ben gave it to me. Speaking of him, we are gonna drop him off in Anchorhead and speed home before your aunt gets worried.
You roll your eyes, "Right, my aunt. Honestly, I say let her worry. She deserves it after lying to me my whole life."
"____, don't say that. I know you care for her, just as much as she cares for you. I've seen it. Let's get going though, we don't want to be Sand People bait." He holds out his hand, "Come on."
You take it, and follow as he leads you to the speeder. Luke sits in the pilot seat with Ben in the passenger, leaving you and the two droids in the back.
As you speed to Anchorhead, you spot a Jawa sandcrawler in the distance. You grab Luke's binocs and call out, "There's a sandcrawler ahead, but somethings wrong. Luke—" He heads the worry in your voice, immediately, he switches directions to the sandcrawler. The speeder picks up speed, blowing wind through your hair. The second the speeder halts, you jump out, pulling out the blaster hidden under your robes. Luke joins you, his rifle ready to shoot. That's when you see the dead Jawas. You gasp in horror as the bodies lay sprawled out in the sand. Ben walks from behind you and continues over to the scene.
As the three of you take a closer look, Luke says, "It looks like the Sand People did this, all right. There's gaffi sticks, Bantha tracks. I've just never heard of them hitting anything this big before."
"Me either. They normally stick to destroying small, outskirt property, not chase after Jawas," you agree.
"They didn't," You and Luke exchange a glance, "but we are meant to think they did. These tracks are side by side. Sand People always ride single file to hide their numbers."
Luke shakes his head, "These are the same Jawas that sold us Artoo and Threepio." You look over to the droids, who are standing by the speeder. What if those two have something to do with this?
Ben continues, "And these blast points, too accurate for Sand People. Only Imperial stormtroopers are so precise."
The farm boy looks from the blast points to the two droids, "But why would Imperial troops want to slaughter Jawas..." He trails off as a look of horror becomes evident on his face.
"Luke? What?" you realize his unspoken point a second after he does.
"If they traced the droids here, they may have learned who they sold them to, and that would lead them back...home." His voice begins to waver. He sprints back to the speeder, and you hop in the passenger seat with him. My aunt. I knew I shouldn't have agreed to this.
"____, Luke, wait! It's too dangerous!" Obi-Wan calls out. Neither of you listen as Luke started the engine.
Within moments, you are racing across the desert, piloting at an ungodly speed to reach the Lar's homestead. However, you see the smoke rising from the area. With a quick glance to the boy to your left, you notice the change in him. You can feel his anxiousness, the worry creeping up inside of him, and the feeling of dread. Something awful has happened.
He rounds the last turn, revealing the homestead. Smoke comes from every exit, black and thick. You suck in a breath when you see it, the bodies of his aunt and uncle. However, a cry escapes your mouth as you notice a third skeleton with them, your aunt. Tears roll down your cheeks. No. No. No. This-this can't be real! Only when Luke's arms wrap around you do you finally come to terms with reality. You turn around and cry into his shoulder as he runs a hand through your hair. "Shhh, ____. I know. I know. They're-They're gone." You slowly begin to still your sobs, but a tear rolls down Luke's own face. We've lost everything. What are we going to do now?

A/N ANNOUNCEMENT: I have started a Darkside Luke Skywalker book for all my Luke fans out there! I'm going to put the next chapter up right now. That's why this request hadn't been put up yet. This request goes out to CoraEx . I'll be updating a little more frequently now (hopefully).
