{Kylo Ren/Ben Solo} More Than A Childhood Crush Pt. 2

     "General Organa, what's the matter?"
     She looks at you carefully and says, "We've found him. We need you to bring him home."
     You step back in shock. I haven't seen him since that night. He probably thinks I'm dead.
Leia seems to notice your unease, "If you don't think you can—"
"No, I can do this. I have to do this." You mumble the second sentence.
General Organa places a hand on your shoulder, "Have to, or should?"
You chuckle, "Should."
"Alright, but you're taking Poe with you."
"General, with all due respect—"
"Yes, thanks for the respect, now get to your ship, Captain ____." She gives you a look, as if daring you to argue. Knowing better than to pick a fight, you nod and rush to the hangar, where Commander Dameron waits for you.
"The coordinates are in our navigation systems already. All we have to do is get in, catch him alone, knock him out, and bring him back. Got it?"
"Poe—"
"If there's no questions about the mission, let's go."
"Poe, wait. B-Kylo doesn't know I'm alive. This is going to be a shock for him, and I need you to know that there's the possibility that he might come with us, without the knocking out, if I can speak with him, alone."
Poe shakes his head, "Not a chance. I'm not leaving you with that monster alone. We stay together, we stay safe. Now get to your starfighter. Time is ticking."
Frustrated, you follow Poe's orders. Monster. I don't believe that for a moment. He's still Ben, deep down. I know that. However, despite his plan, you make a plan of your own.
     The two of you manage to steal a pair of TIEs from a nearby planet of Vardos before flying up to Kylo Ren's known ship, The Finalizer. Once on board, Poe looks to you, "We know he's on the ship, we just don't know where."
     You smirk, "Leave that to me." You close your eyes for a brief moment, reaching out through the Force, feeling for Ben's Force Signature that you know so well.
     Back then, you learned his specific signature due to a small crush. Although it's foolish to think about that now, you're somewhat grateful for it.
     You open your eyes, "He's close by."
     In fact, when you glance at the main hangar door, you notice his thick cape inspecting troops. Quickly, you and Poe fall in line. Poe knows to think of nothing, but you can't help the swirl of emotions inside of you. Ben. I haven't seen him in almost a decade. Would he even recognize me?
     Immediately, his helmet whips in your direction. His voice rings inside your head, Who are you?
You remain stiff, instantly clearing your mind of all thoughts. Kylo Ren stands in front of you, not once taking his eyes off of you. You can sense Poe's unease behind you, but there is nothing you can do to reassure him. Finally, Ren steps back, "Dismissed," but he looks straight at you, "all except you."
Poe, still in stormtrooper armor, follows the rest of the troopers, only able to spare one glance at you before having to leave with the others.
You don't look at him, knowing you will break his cover by even glancing his way. Once you are alone, Kylo speaks, "Who are you?"
     You try to speak, you really do, but it's as if nothing comes out. Before you can register what's going on, your helmet is ripped from your head and Kylo Ren has to take a step back, "____? Is it really you?"
     Finally able to find your words, you say, "Yes Ben, it's me."
     He pulls you into a hug, holding you close against his chest, "I thought you were dead. Everything happened so fast and...I'm so glad you're safe." He pulls back and chuckles, "Now what's a powerful Force-wielder like you doing as a stormtrooper?"
     You swallow hard, remembering that this is a mission. Instantly, you pull out your stinger pistol, which has been set to stun, and fire a single shot. However, Kylo Ren stops the shot from ever touching him. With a sigh he says, "I should've known." He waves his gloved hand over your face, causing you to black out.
