{Din Djarin} The Bounty Pt.2

When you open your eyes, the first thing you notice is a small thing on your lap. You aren't sure how to describe it at first other than awkwardly adorable. It's ears are larger than it's head, but you think they made it even cuter. You try to wave, but binders restrict your movements. Binders?

Finally, it all comes rushing back, the traps, the invasion of your small home, and the Mandalorian, sitting in the pilot's chair next to you. Giving him a once over, you recognize a dent in his armor that you gave him from your last encounter. "I see you never fixed the hole in your armor just above your knee," you break the silence. The Mandalorian looks back briefly before turning his attention back to the console in front of him. Hmmm that didn't seem to get his attention. What if I talk to this... child instead. Maybe it'll get some reaction out of him.

"Hello there, little one. I'm ____, what's your name?" you try to talk to the child, but it pulls a small ball off of a lever and puts it inside his mouth. Wow, that's disgusting. You look between the child and the bounty hunter, "Is he your pet or something? Last time I checked, bounty hunters don't usually haul around their kids. The last person to do that was Jango, and look how that turned out for him."

At the mention of the child, he tenses. He knows that you're trying to play an angle so he'll release you, but he can't stand it when someone calls the child a pet. Against his better judgment, he turns around to face you, "It's not a pet, and you can drop the act. I know what your trying to do."

You smirk after getting a reply, "Oh really? You think that because you finally caught me that you everything about me? Buddy, you are very wrong."

Losing his temper, he spins around and stands to his feet, "I'm not gonna let you walk free after months of tracking your movements, your patterns, trying to learn how you think, and how you react to situations. So you might as well keep your mouth shut before I put a blast through your skull."

When the Mandalorian raises his voice, the child retreats to the lower hold. He notices this and silently returns to his seat. For the next half an hour the two of you sit in silence, until a blast rocks the ship. The armored bounty hunter hits the thrusters, trying to make it to the planet just in his sight, but the left one bursts into flames as the assailant targets it. He curses under his breath before turning to you, "Stay here." He then climbs down to the lower hold.

You scoff, "Right, does it look like I have any choice?" You feel the whole ship rattle as the assailants attach to the ship. I don't have friends, so who are these people?

This has been in drafts for a while and I never even saw it, lol. I'll have part three up by the end of the week (if I don't get called into work randomly). Until then...
