Zoe's P.O.V

He was no longer standing on the swing. He was sitting
"You had friends?",
"Of course I did",He said.
"You had way more enemies I assume",
"Maybe. Biggest one of them was Steve actually IS steve",He said with an eye roll.
"He your brother was god's sake. Why do you hate him so much?",I Asked as I moved my legs back and forth in order to swing harder.
"A step brother",He corrected.
"My father married his mom and then they had him",He added.
"Soo why do you hate him?",
"His Mom was the reason. My mom and dad divorced. I hate him from the core of my heart and his mom",He looked dismayed, but hid it so well.
"I m sorry",I frowned I have never been good at comforting anyone.
" pity from you is the last thing I want. I don't want you to be sorry for me",he yelled. He expressed his sadness through anger. I didn't call him out this time, he was sad. I let silence engulf us. The bawling of the swing was all I could hear.
The swift cold air came in contact with my face forcing my bangs to flow in the same direction. I looked a towards Archie at my right. He didn't look back, he was staring his black sneakers. He didn't even notice I was looking at him. My lips curved into a smile. his dark eyes were perfect for me, I can look at him the whole day long. He bit his lower lip,and it unexpectedly looked hot and I felt it. I felt those butterflies in my stomach for the first time And finally he spared me a glance I stopped blushing.
He sighed and continued.
"Ok See Sorry I shouldn't have said that",he waited for me to say something.
I chuckled. He narrowed his brows and asked me what was so funny?

I kissed him, VOLUNTARILY. My heart was beating so fast. He didn't comprehend what was happening neither did I. He broke the kiss. He smiled, that devilish smile. And kissed back.
For a moment it just felt right.
But just for a moment.
"I m sorry. I m so sorry. I shouldn't have done that",
"You don't have to be sorry that was great",He smirked.
"No! You don't understand",
He waited for me to continue. His eyes seeking explanation.
"I- won't be in India next year, I have to get into Trinity  it's my dream university ",I confessed. He was broken, I felt guilty.
"You should have told me that before",He said not meeting my eyes.
I didn't reply.
"No but it doesn't matter, you have one more year",He said.
"I told you i m looking for a serious relationship",
" there is a thing called long relationship and we have one more god damn year we can think about it later",
"Don't tell me i didn't warn you earlier",I said. It looked as if he was ignoring the problems not finding solution. But I liked the things the way they were if didn't argue.
"Zoe?",
"Yes?",
"I really love..", my heart skipped a beat.
"Love your dedication",I sighed in disappointment. I expected something else.
"Archie?",
He hummed.
"I really love..",
"Your stupidness",I laughed. He squinted.
"I love you", I confessed.
"I love me too",he said. I frowned.
"Let's go it's getting dark",He said standing from his swing.
I followed him.
"Is it really that hard?",I Asked
"What?",
"Confessing",
"I told you I like you so many times ",He said.
"No tell me that you love me!",
"Don't be so desperate",He Joked.
"I am being desperate?" I asked sarcastically.
"Yes", he replied.
"Just say it!",
He stuck out his tongue as he opened his car. I sat.
"You are acting like a 5 year old",
"Wear your seatbelt",I ordered.
He wore it. The drive back to my house was pretty silent.
"Bye",I bid him goodbye
I smiled. He nervously smiled back. His devilish smile lost somewhere. And I wanted to kiss him right now. But I did not.

Steve's P.O.V

I was embarrassed after my confession more concerned about what Erica thinks about me.
"Then who killed her?",She asked.
"I don't know",I said still embarrassed.
"Justin?",She suggested.
"He did not join the school when I started threatening Alice so I assume he doesn't even know",Said Steve.
"No, Justin didn't join the school when you were threatening Alice. But How do we know that Justin wasn't here? Maybe he was here he just didn't attend the school for first few days to convince us he wasn't even here when Alice was getting the threats",
"Damn your are smart that's why I freaking love you",  I said it at the heat of the moment.  She didn't realise.
"I know",She flattered herself.
"Netflix detective series do help-",She suddenly frozen when she realised what I said.
"I m sorry",I whispered. She didn't reply her eyes widened.
" I love you too",She said.
"Really?",
"Right now we have more important thing to discuss let's focus not that" "do you know where Justin lives?",
"What are you just planning to confront him without any proof",I asked
"No I will not confront him",She re assured.
"I don't know where he lives but I assume Archie does he used to hang out with Justin before that incident",I said.
"Cool can you ask Archie where he lives?",She asked  "no"
"Why not", she whined.
"You ask for yourself I will not ask him", I said.
"I m doing it for you steve!",
"But he won't tell me",
"Call him",
"He won't tell me!",
"Just do it",
I Dailed his number.  He picked up after two rings. I kept the phone on speaker.
"What's up? Son of bi*tch",he greeted.
Erica was embarrassed.
"Uhh it's actually me- Erica",
"Oh I m sorry",
"No problem I just wanted to ask if you know where Justin lives?",She asked hoping a positive response.
"Uhh not really we just hanged out after school sometimes he never told me where he lived",said Archie.
"Not any clue?",Erica frowned,
"Sorry. But why what happened?",
" we assume Justin killed Alice", I said
"WHAT? THE? HELL?",
"Should I call mason and tell him?",Archie added
"No not yet. We don't know for sure",Said Erica.
"Do you want me to come help you?", He asked
"Ok only if you want to", said erica
"NO need", Said Steve.
"Cool Erica whatsapp me your location I will be there".he said
"And Steve you! No one asked you steve stop meddling in others Business",he said
Erica cut the call before I could answer back.
"What the hell erica?",
"Don't argue with Archie please",
" did you see the way he talked to me? I didn't even start the fight. I can't always be quite Erica. He treats me like sh*t for no reason",
" I know ok? And that's not fair but right now just for today forget it",
