THE IMPENDING BREAK-THROUGH
"SO..." said Matt as he sat in the passenger seat of Allison's car, "about that incredibly bad idea I had..."
"You mean, the kiss?" Allison cut him off, feeling very uncomfortable. After Aspen seemed to leave her high a dry, or so she thought, Matt had made a move on her.
"Yeah, that's the one..." said the Daehler boy.
"Don't worry about it." said Allison, seriously just trying to get the boy out of her car.
"For real?" he asked, unbeleiving.
"Definitely." Allison nodded.
"So, what's going on with you and Scott?" Matt asked, "Are you guys-you guys still together, or-or what?"
"Not really..."
"Not really." Matt chuckled awkwardly. "God, I hate "not really's." You never know what to do with "not really.""
"Would you understand if I said it was complicated?"
"Not really. But, I'll try."
As Matt got out of the car, Allison let out a sigh of relief. She was starting to understand why Aspen had been so hasty about him, especially after he seemed to have moved on from his pursuit of the Carter girl and was now focussing it on her.
In the passenger seat beside her, she noticed he had left his camera behind.
Out of sheer curiosity, she decided to take a look at the photo's he had taken, but she didn't expect to find what she did.
Photographs of Aspen, dozens of them.
She wasn't posing in any of them, in fact she had no idea her photo was even being taken.
Allison figured that when Matt was caught taking photos of her at the funeral by Gerard that he would give up his creepy obsession, but he hadn't.
In some of the photo's, Allison couldn't even decipher how he could've taken them.
The term 'stalking' definitely came to mind.
A lot of them were of her and Stiles zoomed in on her mainly, but you could still make out the fact that he was in them.
As she kept scrolling, she even found one of Aspen through her bedroom window, in a compromising position with Jackson. Aspen hadn't even spoken to Jackson in weeks, and Allison scared herself wondering just how long this had been going on.
Snapping her out of the panicked trance was a knock on the car window, the raven-haired girl snapped her head up in reflex, seeing Matt on the other side of it.
She struggled to hide the panic on her face and in her mannerisms, having just found all those photos of her best friend.
Matt tried to open the car door a few times, realising it was locked as Allison stared at him with scared eyes.
