"Pakopya ako, Jefferson."
I was whispering so that I can copy from my seatmate. It's been four weeks, Allyson's doing great at her chemo but like she said, her hair wasn't really that strong, she became bald. The doctors said that her chemo was working, isang trial nalang at matatapos na siya.
"Psst!" pagtawag ko pa sa katabi. "Pakopya na kasi,"
Tinignan niya ako ng masama at mas inilayo ang papel niya. Napasabunot ako ng buhok, napakadamot niya akala niya naman ang bango niya katabi, ang asim naman. As I said, it's been four weeks and we're doing our second quiz kay Prof. Silva the bitch.
This professor likes Jefferson which I don't know why. Pero lagi niya akong pinagti-tripan kapag nakikita niya kaming magkausap, like what the hell? Mabuti sana kung hindi siya nagagalit sakin.
"Tangina, kalian ba ito itinuro?" bulong ko sa sarili.
Wala akong naaral dahil naging sobrang busy ako sa pagbabantay kay Allyson. And this professor was really getting on my nerves, last week she embarrasses me in front of the whole class just because I can't answer her stupid question.
"Jefferson, hoy!" pagsit-sit ko pa pero ayaw niya talagang making sakin. "Pakopya naman," I pleaded.
Inirapan niya ako. "Mag-aral ka kasi."
I was left with no choice. When Ms. Silva wasn't looking, I took out my notes and yeah, cheated. Wala akong choice, kapag hindi ako pumasa sa kahit na isang quiz, babagsak ako. I scanned the whole room, halos lahat naman nagkokopyahan at kodigo.
I have nervously flipped all the pages and answered my paper. I was feeling victory because I'll pass this stupid test of Silvitch when someone harshly took my paper and ripped it all over my face, it makes a huge sound effect to the class.
"I-I'm sorry, e-everyone's been doing it..." I'm out of words, really.
Her fury reigned through the whole class. "To the office, now!!"
"Okay!" inis na sigaw ko pabalik sakanya at nagdabog papunta sa office.
"Janina, you're in charge of the class while I'm out," she ordered Janina, the other bitch. Janina smiled at her and nodded, wearing those teasing eyes on me. At dahil kabogera ako, I raised my middle finger on her that made her frown in awe.
I was stomping my feet until we reached the office. Nakita ko pa si Jane, kaklase ko na alam lagi kung nasan si Emeticia, mas alam niya pa kaysa sakin. I walked towards her while Silvitch was busy scrolling on her phone, hindi niya napansin na tumigil ako.
"Si Emet?" maarteng tanong ko sakanya habang nakataas ang kilay.
