Chapter 37

"Bakit tulala ka, teh?"

I heard Emeticia's voice that made me aback. "Aba, uwi ba 'yan ng matinong babae?"

She was wearing different clothes from yesterday, so I'm quite guessing something's wrong or right, I don't know but I knew something's off. Parang blooming siya ngayon.

"Aalis din ako kaagad, maya-maya. Rago will meet my family at the old house." she explained that made me gasped.

I laughed mischievously. "Sinasabi ko na nga ba! Kaya ka wala kagabi hanggang umaga, nagdiligan kayo sa garden mo ano? Harot ka talaga, mare."

Kaagad naman siyang namula, nahiya pa si tanga. "Halata ba?"

"Blooming ka eh, inggit nga ako." I pouted, thinking that my life has been boring all along. I missed Cj, our outgoing dates together.

"Tawagan ko na ba siya?" she raised her phone, teasing me.

I rolled my eyes. "Sino? Anong pangalan? Nakalimutan ko eh,"

She responded to me with a glare before going upstairs. Dahil curious ako sa love life niya, I followed her. Tulog pa naman si Aya kaya okay lang, hindi niya kami maririnig.

"I told Aya about me," I blurted while laying down on her bed while she puts lipgloss on her lips.

"What? What did she say? How did she react?" sunod-sunod niyang tanong.

I heavily sighed. "Typical reaction of a five-year-old child. She's still confused and mad."

Emeticia immediately hugged me, for me to feel a little enlightened about the situation I'm facing. To be honest, hindi ko alam kung paano ko kukunin ulit ang loob ni Aya. Lalo na si Nigel, he's a total stranger to my daughter.

"And I lied to you about Nigel.." 

Her eyes widened. "What?!"

"The guy at the party, it wasn't him. It was my high school classmate who's an athlete that I paid to lie to my daughter and to lie to you." I explained, closing my eyes hoping she won't get mad.

"I knew it!" she exclaimed, pouting. "Sabi ko sa sarili ko, malabong magustuhan mo siya dahil una sa lahat hindi ka mahilig sa singkit! Kahit medyo kahawig siya ni Aya, hindi ko talaga makita siya bilang tatay niya!"

I laughed aloud, holding my tummy. "Tawang-tawa nga ako, ang dali mong ma-uto."

"Hayop ka, may pa-iyak-iyak pa ako kasi nata-touch ako sakanila!" she ranted and punched my arm, lightly.

"Reto ko kaya si Lols kay Simon?" 

Emet chuckled aloud. "Mas boses lalaki pa si Lolita kay Simon, baka suntukan ang lambingan nila kung sakali."

"Sabagay, si Duke lang naman ang nakakapagpa-amo kay Lolita eh." 

I cooked lunch, just pancit canton because Emet wasn't that hungry, syempre nauna na ang breakfast at lunch nilang dalawa ni Rago. I was done cooking our breakfast and fixed the table when I saw Aya, she just woke up.

"Hi, baby. How's your sleep?" Emeticia kissed Aya on her cheeks.

My daughter smiled. "Very good po, my room feels comfy."

I don't know how to react around my daughter. If Emet didn't gesture to me, I wouldn't be saying anything at all. My feet will be just stuck and glued to the floor.
