♡  Alaiya's POV:  ♡

A hand gets placed on the doorknob and I quickly look around to see where I can survive.
Hopefully, Roman will live too, but he's a big guy and can defend himself. I, on the other hand, will definitely die.

I look at his closet which doesn't exist because he has a freaking dresser.

Who has a dresser these days? How are you supposed to hide when these things happen? That's an "I'm ready to die" move right there.

The doorknob turns after a knock is heard, and out of the adrenaline pumping through my veins from survival mode, I run and open the bathroom door which Roman didn't lock. I quickly shut it very softly so that the murderer doesn't think I ran away before letting a breath out.

"What the fuck happened?" Roman asks while he's in the clear door, completely naked.

Don't look Alaiya.

I shh him aggressively because this is life or death after locking the door and looking around to find something for Roman to defend me with. I'm all for feminism, but in this case, I think the guy should die first. I don't know what type of movies or books you've read, but I don't do the whole 'Let's go check out where the noise came from' or the 'I got this' and then proceeds to hit the murderer with a stick all of a sudden. I do the 'I choose life so I'm going to stand behind everyone else and hope they don't die because that's what a logical person should do' thing.

"There's someone out there," I mouth quietly as he turns off the water and grabs a towel to wrap around his torso.

His wet dripping hair over his forehead makes me feel so freaking uneasy and heated up at the same time, but I push it back because there's a literal murderer out there. His whole body is wet may I add, not that I'm gawking at it because that would be weird. Oh, and did I mention his hair is dripping wet.

"There's what?" Roman lowers his voice and scrunches his eyebrows at me.

I walk over to him and repeat what I said again in a very hushed tone. "There's someone out there."

"Did you see them?"

"Yes Roman. I heard someone break in and decided to grab a flashlight TO GO CHECK IT OUT," I whisper-yell at his dumb question using aggravation in my arms and voice.

"Will you calm the hell down," he demands like we're not about to die.

I ignore him completely and look around for weapons. I find the closest thing I can which are shampoo bottles so I grab them and rush back over to hand them to him.

"Don't die." I pat his chest and run to the shower to hide behind.

He has a nice chest. He has a really big bathroom too! It's probably bigger than my bedroom. His bedroom is bigger than my entire apartment, so his restroom being massive makes sense.

He looks at me in disbelief as to what I'm saying.

Roman, like the obviously dumb person he is, sets the shampoo bottles down on the bathroom counter like an idiot and loses the only defense we have at the moment.

Is he trying to get me...I mean us killed. Does he have a window in here? Maybe I could jump out?

"What are you doing?" I quietly yell at him.

He's about to respond with what looks like ridicule towards me, but the killer's voice cuts him off.

"Blackwood, whose bra is this?" I hear a familiar voice ask near the bathroom door.

Is that...ohhh!

Roman looks back at me in a "really?" manner as I come out of hiding and realize that it's not a killer, but just Legend. Maybe I overreacted just a tiny bit, but what the heck was I supposed to think? I didn't hear a knock.
