You were everywhere tonight - long legs and braided hair that smelled of honeysuckle and mint. Draco can find you at any point, his eyes zeroing in on the small, volatile girl that seemed to rock his world sideways every chance she got. He can't help himself - can't stop himself from watching as you capture the attention of every guy in the room.

You aren't daft. You know Draco's watching you, know he's clocking your every move as you slide between George and Fred, smirking when the latter's hand brushes over the small of your back. You don't miss the look of longing Ron's casting in your direction, his eyes glazed over as Harry rambles on about something beside him.

It wasn't usually in your nature to play with those you had wrapped around your finger. In fact, you did your best to keep a line drawn darkly in the dirt, never letting any of them think that they had the slightest chance with you. It was a mercy thing, a move of desperation for the sake of your own sanity. You could handle most things, having grown up with four brothers, but this was not one of them.

This time, though, you were on a mission.

You were tired of Draco playing games, tired of feeling like you were some horrid secret he had to keep. You were from a prominent family, your bloodline full of wizards and witches. Falling in love with Draco hadn't been the plan - in fact, you had really only been looking for sex. You needed a release and he offered it to you with a small smirk and dark eyes.

Soon enough, you were sharing secret looks and hooking up in parts of the castle you didn't even know existed. Draco was eager to touch you, fervent kisses dropping all along your skin as he thrust inside you, motions harsh and deliberate as you fell apart beneath him every single time. It was easy, then, to sneak off as if you didn't know one another.

Until one night, when he fell asleep with you wrapped in his arms. You hadn't meant to stay, hadn't meant to let him run his fingers through your hair and press delicate kisses to your skin. You had meant to get up, to trudge back to bed and ignore the knowing, disgusted look Hermione would send you. You had every intention to leave - but you didn't.

You woke up tangled with him, your feet pressed into his legs and his arms wrapped around you tightly. His face was buried in your neck, his breath warm and lulling you back to sleep. Blaise found you both like that, eyes wide with surprise when Draco simply told him to 'fuck off' and then kept you close for the remainder of the morning.

It turned into something more after that. You'd find little gifts waiting for you on your bed, a neatly written card sitting with it that detailed his affections for you. He'd find you in the hall and walk with you, his eyes soft and kind only for you. He would kiss you gently, asking how your day was and passing up on sex in favor of just holding you. It was easy to fall in love with him after that. It was like your entire world flipped upside down - but this time, you welcomed it warmly.

Until he ended things.

It came to a screeching halt one winter night. He had sat across from you, a blank, expressionless look on his face. His words were robotic and hurtful, sinking into your chest like an anchor stuck at the bottom of the ocean. You didn't know why he didn't want you, but you were grateful he never explicitly stated it. You had walked off with your head high, refusing to let your tears flow until you were in your dorm, Hermione and Ginny comforting you.

That was three weeks ago.

You had bounced back easily when you realized no boy was worth falling apart over. The cheeky side of you had decided you'd get back at Draco by playing on his biggest insecurity - jealousy.

You finally pick your way through the crowd, a soft smile on your lips when you reach the one person you had been looking for. His arm wraps around your waist, instinctively tugging you into his side and dropping a kiss to your temple.
