The salty tear that is currently falling out of my right eye doesn't get along with my previous words. His deep voice rings as he laughs at me. Pushing the flowers in my hand.

"That translates to 'yes' in the sarcastic Nova language, doesn't it?"

My shoulders move up and down as I laugh too. Enjoying this moment."You got it, dude."

Aziel doesn't look like he can stop his smile from returning on his face either.
"So...where's the ring?"

I look through the flowers. Assuming he hid it there.

"A-A ring?"
I nod and look up at him.
"You forgot the ring?!"

His addams apple moves up and down nervously.
"Aziel, I'm just kidding!"

He lets out a breath in relief. Ugh I can't with him. This guy is too cute.

"Thank Hades for that."

He starts walking towards the bungalow that's only 2 miles away. I hurriedly follow him.
"Hades is a chill guy, right?"

Aziel scoffs.
"Does it look like I've met him personally?"

"I don't know. You're a demon."
His muscular arm engulfs me as we both keep walking towards the puppy.

"Sorry to disappoint you, my love. But I haven't seen him. Not yet."
I chuckle. 'My love'...

"It's alright. I still think he's better than Zeus. Actually...now that we're...you know. How did you become a demon? Were you born like one?"

We reach the bungalow. Aziel doesn't respond immediately. Instead he pets angel. We sit on the wooden floor.

"I honestly don't know. I just woke up one day and was like this. I saw you and followed you ever since. Simply fulfilling my duty."

"So you weren't born like one? You just woke up and was a whole ass snack immediately?"

My serious question loses its meaning when my thoughts come out unintentionally.
Way to fucking go Nova.

I can see the confusion in his eyes as he tried to figure out where that just came from.

But knowing me well, he gave up.

"Exactly that, Nova."
My name has a nice ring to it when he says it.

That's not what I thought for the past few years though. I hated my name because:

1. My dad chose that name
2. The intrusive thoughts kept calling me repeatedly by that name.

Enough reasons for me.

"Well...aren't we here to swim?"
"Aren't you scared?"

"Me? Never!"
That's a big ass lie. The water is peaceful however it's very dark. You can't see through it.

What if there's a shark?

No, no, no, don't think about that. That's not going to happen. At least I hope so.

"Alright baby come on."
Aziel lifts me up in his arms and goes to the moving cold sea. Ordering Angel to sit still.

Aziel keeps getting deeper and deeper and my grip on his neck gets tighter.

The cold water reaches the level I'm at and my skin makes immediate contact with the coldness. "Ah! It's cold, Aziel!"

Instead of helping me, he kept going.
"No stop! It's too cold! Stop, Aziel!"
