XVIII • Better stay away

And I was runnin' far away

Y/n's POV

"Listen love...I have to go...I have to leave Hogwarts and probably stay at my home for awhile" I looked at him as we both sat right next to each other at his couch.

I sighed and held his hand, gently caressing it

"Will you come back to me?" I asked the most stupid question, but he gave me an answer that I will hold on to.

"Yes, but not now though...you have to stay away from me. You and your family might be in danger when you meddle with my family...the Dark Lord shouldn't know about you" I chuckled softly and leaned on his shoulders, and I can tell he is quite confused

"Have you ever wondered why I didn't hesitated to help you? Why I didn't leave you?" I asked and he hummed in response. I looked at him and cupped his cheeks

"Because Daintree was just like you"

"How do you know her? What is she to you?" I looked down on the ring on my thumb. This is were Daintree used to put her ring and I felt my tears streamed down on my cheeks

"Because she was my oldest sister. And just like you, she joined the Dark Lord to save our family. To protect us...She just did what she can do in order to protect her family" I told him and I can see the stunned look on his face as I smiled at him.

"Daintree...The Death Eater who manipulated the Dark Lord is your sister?

"Mhm...your father recruited her, and made an unbreakable vow between my mother that he would protect her at all cost. But of course things unexpectedly happened and we have no choice but to accept it" I said to him, and sighed wiping my tears away.

"And if that's what you've wanted...then I respect it" I added and leaned on his shoulders. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead.

"I promise...I'll come back...no matter what" He whispered to me. I smiled as I let my tears fall, we both decided to cherish this last moment of us both.

Because in just few hours, everything will change. Everything will be gone with one snap, and I just want to feel his warmth for the last moment before I part my ways with him
