It's been a while since Jake and I had talked. I still didn't understand his meaning of stopping me with his foot. I mean we aren't like friends, but I'm still wondering if our little moment did mean something.
He probably does that to a lot of people, and I guess that's his way of flirting. So it's time to clear my mind of his dreamy face and stop drooling over him.

I took the bus home since dad was working late and mum was never available. I sat down at the back of the double decker and soon Jake joined me.
I left school slightly late so the bus was empty when we got on.

"Ermm..." I felt like a curtain of awkwardness fell upon both of us. It was very uncomfortable.

"Hey" a smirk ran through his face and left straight away when he noticed I was a tad nervous about why he was here... With me.

"I'm not gonna hurt you. Y'know Ella Harris?"

"Yeah; what about her?" I paused in deep confusion.

"Yeah well she asked me out"

"Haha ok? Why does that concern me?"

He smiled a heavenly smile and looked out of the window.

"I like someone else" he mumbled it so quietly I don't think j was supposed to head it. I said oh in the same mummbley tone and sat in silence for the rest of the journey.
