After my terrible breakdown, we decided to head back home. We walked in the burning sun and and I felt so self continues, because my make up was all over the place and my eyes were stinging because of the mascara which was smudged everywhere.

I opened the door to my house and flopped down onto the sofa, Jake mimicking.

"I really don't know where she is."

I was sobbing frantically and I hadn't noticed mum was home. She didn't exactly mind Jake around because she knew we were "best friends" now.

"Hey, I've called the police and they said their on their way to find something of Rose's to help them track her down."

I could see tears sweeping in mums eyes, just waiting for a moment to flow down her hot cheeks. I stood up in agony and have her a hug. I motherly hug. She hugged back and I felt warm wet tears fall into my bare shoulder since I was wearing a summer strapless top.

"It's okay" I whispered, since her ear was close by.

"It's okay."

Jake stood up and walked over, stoking my shoulder once mum and I broke the hug. I hugged him and sobbed, not caring if I wet his t shirt. I knew he didn't care.

Mum walked upstairs and I found dad in the kitchen.

"Dad!"

I ran over and he picked me up giving me a loving cuddle.

"I haven't seen you in ages! Why are you home? Aren't you supposed to be working?"

He put me down carefully and I stared into his full eyes.

"I came because I was worried"

He didn't have to finish off the sentence for me to understand what he was taking about. Everything was changing because of Rose. Because I wasn't able to take care of her.
