I woke up to sound of arguing, and immediately i recognised the police officers deep voice contradicting with my mothers gentle one. I ran downstairs, not caring about my crazy hair that puffed upwards on my head and entered the living room which looked liked a seated riot. No body have left their chairs yet hands were waving in the air indicating furious gestures and my dad was just sat in the middle sofa, massaging his aching temples.

"Hey hey HEY! what's going on in here?"

My brows were so furrowed I felt like I had a unibrow. I broke from the uncomfortable facial position and folded my arms till I heard an answer.

"This 'officer' here is accusing Jake for something that we all know isn't true!"

"Wait, mom, you're defending my boyfriend?"

I looked at her in surprise and raised my eyebrows. She gave me the embarrassed look and replied.

"Well yes, I guess so. He's a nice chap and I don't want to see him disappear for such a stupid reason!"

"Can someone tell me the reason? I mean. He is my boyfriend. For the record, I should've been first to know to be honest."

I stared at the officer who was twiddling his large thumbs. He looked up at my worried face and decided to spill.

"Okay, I'll tell you. So our research, about your sister, shows Jake Micheals had something to do with this death. Now don't get shocked,"

He held his hands in front of me in a halt gesture and I raised one brow at him which made them flop down.

"Jake Micheals' record is actually very very surprising. I never knew what a teenager like him could do, before I read his records of course."

"What exactly are in those records? Sir?"

"Well you see, if we make a deal, maybe you could find out."

"Hmm are you trying to bribe me sir?"

"Let's keep it at 'deal' shall we? I mean, the condition makes us officers happy, and the reward make you happy too. It's a win win, what do you say?"

"First state the condition"

The last thing I needed was an impossible condition that would drive me crazy.

"It's simple. You hand in Jake, and you get to see this record. It's for your sisters investigation too, so it's a bigger win for you. But I'm not complaining."

I took a deep breath. Turning in Jake would be so bad, especially if he found out I was the one giving him to the police. But I needed to know this 'record' that the officer was making a big deal out of.

"Can we have a moment please officer?"

The broad man stepped out of the room and my parents gathered in.

"Do you think we should? I mean I absolutely forgot this was about Rose."

My mother stated, I kind of agreed but I didn't want to be the one handing my boyfriend in.

"I think we should, you in hunny?"

I looked at my dad as the words came out of his mouth, along with some spit. But I ignored the disgusting wetness and nodded. Anyways, if he was innocent, which I'm sure he was, he will be free.

"I'm in yes."

The man walked in and we explained that we wanted to hand him over, but it might take some time since he was kind of in the house but ran off... Well finding him was going to be fun...
