Propping my feet on the table, I mess with the small red tie on the front of my uniform as the Russian code echoes throughout the back room, Steve pacing back and fourth as he listened, the Russian alphabet scribbled on the whiteboard in front of us.

"So what do you think?" Dustin shrugged, clicking off the tape recorder.

"It sounded familiar." Steve shrugged, breaking off a piece from his banana and shoving it into his mouth.

"What?" I ask, narrowing my eyebrows at my boyfriend.

"The music." He shrugs, shoving another piece of his banana into his mouth. "The music right there at the end."

"Why are you listening to the music, Steve?" Dustin cries, looking at his friend. "Listen to the Russian! We're translating Russian!"

"I'm trying to listen the Russian," Steve retorts. "but there's music—"

"All right," Robin grumbles, pushing her way into the back room. "babysitting time is over. You need to get in there."

"Hey, my board." She cries, examining the new information we had written on it. "That was important data, shitbirds."

"I guarantee you," Dustin nods, giving Robin a look as Steve shrugs in agreement. "what we're doing is way more important than your data."

Robin looks between Dustin and I, placing a hand on her hip.

"It's not." I mouth, causing her to nod.

"Yeah?" Robin asks with a small chuckle. "And how do you know these Russians are up to no good, anyways?"

"How does she know about the Russians?" Dustin asked, his eyes widening in surprise.

"I don't know." Steve mumbled, shrugging his shoulders at my little brother.

"You told her about—" Dustin whispered, glancing at Robin.

"It wasn't me." Steve retorts, shrugging his shoulders once more.

"You guys are idiots." I say, rolling my eyes as I take my feet off the table. "She probably heard you guys. You're not very quiet."

"Yeah." Robin shrugs. "I could hear everything. You are both extremely loud."

Raising my eyebrows at both of them, they stare at Robin as she continues her rambling.

"You think you have evil Russians plotting against our country, on tape, and you're trying to translate, but haven't figured out a single word because you didn't realize the Russians use and entirely different alphabet than we do. Sound about right?"

Letting out a small laugh, I turn to face the boys, staring at her in complete shock as she simply raises her eyebrows at them.

Reaching over the table, Robin begins to snatch the tape, Steve quickly grabbing it before she could get ahold of it.

"Woah!" Steve cries, rocking back on his heels. "What do you think you're doing?"

"I wanna hear it." Robin says, simply shrugging her shoulders.

"Sure." I shrug, walking over to Steve, trying to snatch the tape recorder from him.

"Why?" Steve and Dustin ask in unison as he pulls the tape recorder further away from me.

"'Cause maybe I can help." Robin says, looking between the two boys. "I'm fluent in four languages, you know?"

"Russian?" Dustin asks, his eyebrows raising in hope.

"Ou-yay are-yay umb-day." She says simply, smirking at my brother.

"Oh-ho-ho!" Steve chuckles excitedly, rapidly tapping Dustin on the shoulder.
