Humming lightly, Erica clicked on the flashlight, shining it into the small vent, raising her eyebrows in an unimpressive manner.

"Yeah," She says, climbing off the ladder. "I don't know."

"You don't know if you can fit?" I ask, placing a hand on my hip as the other rests on the counter behind me.

"Oh, I can fit." Erica retorts, narrowing her eyes at us. "I just don't know if I want to."

"Are you claustrophobic?" Robin asks, shaking her head.

"I don't have phobias." Erica snickers, causing Steve to roll his eyes with a scoff.

"Okay, well," He sighs. "what's the problem?"

"The problem is," Erica exaggerates, raising an eyebrow. "I still haven't heard what's in this for Erica."

Letting out a sigh, Steve looks between Robin and I as the three of us share a look.

"I'll get the ice cream." I mumbled, walking to the front of the store.

Sliding a banana split Erica's way, Steve, Robin and I were squashed in the furthest booth at Scoops, ice cream surrounding the table as Erica gives Steve a look.

"More fudge, please." Erica says simply, sliding the ice cream back to Steve as he glares at the young girl. "Go on."

"All right." Robin says, picking up the map that had rested in the seat next to me. "You see this? This is the route you're going to take. Then we just wait till the last delivery goes out tonight."

"Then," I continue as Erica shifts her attention to me, a slightly bored look on her face. "you knock out the grate, jump down, open the door."

"Then you see what's in those boxes." Erica concludes, picking at a cherry.

"Exactly." I shrug, nodding my head.

"Mm-hmm." Erica hums. "And you say this guard is armed?"

"Yes," Dustin nods. "but he won't be there."

"And booby traps?" Erica shrugs, looking between us.

"Booby traps?" Robin asks as we share a look.

"Lasers," Erica says, shaking her head. "spikes in the wall?"

"What?" I ask with a small laugh.

"You know what this half-baked plan of yours sounds like to me?" She asks, looking between the three of us. "Child endangerment."

"We'll be in radio contact with you the whole time—" Robin starts, trying to reassure the girl.

"Ah, ah, ah!" Erica cries, waving her hand in front of Robin. "Child endangerment."

"Erica?" Dustin pipes up, smiling at the girl. "Hi. Uh... We think these Russians want to do great harm to our country. Great harm. Don't you love your country?"

"You can't spell 'America' without 'Erica.'" Erica sassed, taking a sip of her milkshake.

"Uh, yeah, yeah." Dustin nods, furrowing his eyebrows as Erica slurps down her milkshake. "Oddly, that's, uh, totally true. So, so, don't do this for us. Do it for your country. Do it for your fellow man. Do this for America... Erica."

"Ooh!" Erica says, pretending to shiver as she sets down her cup. "I just got the chills. Oh, yeah, from this float, not your speech."

Sighing, I sink further into my seat while crossing my arms as I shake my head, knowing Erica was going to be hard to reason with.

"You know what I love most about this country?" Erica continues her rambling, looking between us. "Capitalism. Do you know what capitalism is?"

"Yeah." The three of us say in unison.
