James

I turned the knife that was deep through the skin of his hand. He screamed. It was like music to my ears.

Matt and Ben stood on either side of him, holding him down in his seat even though he was bound to the chair. They had disgusted looks on their faces, they weren't as used to this as me and my brother. I rolled my eyes when Ben gagged.

"You're both pussies, get out of here."

They took the chance and walked out. I left the knife in his hand, standing up to choose another of my torture toys to use on him. We had been doing this for hours now, with Sokolov passing out a couple of times from the pain. Guess he wasn't used to being tortured. I couldn't say the same.

I heard Sokolov cursing at me behind my back, I only smirked to myself.

"This is a war, you've started a war between our cartels!" He yelled at me. I lifted my gaze from the table and then turned to him with an evil smile.

"War?" I laughed."You can bring every single man that you have, bring me a FUCKING war." I walked to him slowly, clenching my fists.

"But you know just like everybody else, that NO ONE has a chance of winning. I AM THE FUCKING DON, and I rule all of your pathetic asses."

I punched his jaw hard, his head flung to the side at the impact. He spit out blood and opened his mouth to talk, but I took the opportunity to take out the knife, only to force it through his other hand. He screamed. I exhaled deeply turned around to my brother.

"The fucking audacity." I muttered to him.

He smiled and opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted by the door bursting open. I frowned at Ben.

"There's a girl here."

What?!

Why would there- Shit, Ava.

I pushed by him only to be met by her small frame walking towards me, a confusing look on her face. Sokolov's whimpering could still be heard. Matt came running from behind her.

"I tried to stop her, but she slapped me when I grabbed her." He breathed and held his cheek.

That sounds about right...

"Kitten-"

"What's going on, who's screaming? Who's in there?" She turned her attention to the open door where Sokolov was.

There was no way I could lie to her now, but I didn't need to tell her the whole truth yet either.

"Someone who deserves to be there. Let me take you upstairs."

I took out my hand to take a hold of her arm but she quickly pushed past me instead and before I could react she stood in the doorway with widened eyes. The others stood quietly, waiting for my orders. Matt and Ben looked confused as hell, they didn't know who she was. My brother only frowned at me, irritated. I exhaled and carefully walked to stand behind her, but she moved away from me, resulting in that she had to walk closer to Sokolov, luckily he had passed out again.

There was a look in her eyes that I had never seen before, fear. She was afraid of me.

"What the fuck is this?" She almost whispered.

I took a step closer, she took a step back. I sighed.

"Kitten, I can explain everything for you, but not down here. Come with me upstairs, okay?"

She looked at me, hugging her own body. Her silence  was making me believe that she would leave. Although I would never let her.

I can't lose her.
