Cassandra rubs at her head listening to Bonnie and Elena go through the day with Stefan and Damon. This headache is nothing to do with whatever is happening to her, it's just a general Elena headache. She wanted to take the lead, she burst out with it all before anyone else could get a word in. Cassandra knows this is because she is feeling left out, first with the house, then with her being called out on her feelings for Damon, this is payback.

"So we go to the dance, we find him" Damon offers and pats Cassandra's knee, giving her a worried look. She shrugs a little.

"Really? How are we going to do that? We don't even know what he looks like"

"I do" Cassandra reminds them. "I know what he looks like"

"Yeah" Damon nods. "And something tells me he's not going to be sixteen and pimply"

"He could be anywhere at any time. He compelled somebody at school" Stefan points out and then looks at Elena and Bonnie. "I guess it's not as safe as you guys thought, huh?" Someone knocks on the front door before Alaric then lets himself in.

"There you are" Damon comments.

"Sorry, I'm late."

"Hey, I need you to put me down as a chaperone at the dance tonight. Klaus made his first move" Damon tells Alaric.

"Okay, so we find him and then what, hmm? What's our plan of attack?" Elena asks them.

"Me" Bonnie answers. "I'm the plan. He has no idea how much power I can channel. If you can find him, I can kill him. Cas...."

"Yeah, I know the plan" Cassandra stops her. "I hold him down whilst you" She punches her own fist. "Pound him with magic"

"That's not going to be that easy. I mean, he is the biggest, baddest vampire around" Alaric points out.

"Alaric has a point. I mean, what if he..." Damon rushes at Bonnie but she throws him on the other side of the room with her powers, without touching him. Alaric sets his hand in his pocket as Cassandra chuckles.

"Well, I was impressed" Cassandra teases as she looks over at Damon who pushes himself to his feet.

"It doesn't matter if he's an Original" Bonnie adds. "I can take down anyone who comes at me. I can kill him. I know I can"

"Well, I'm convinced" Cassandra offers and then cringes, a pain in her head again.

"Cas, your nose is bleeding again" Bonnie points out. Cassandra touches her nose and then pulls her fingers back to see that Bonnie is right, her nose is flooding. She sighs and then stands, leaving the room to go to the bathroom, to clean this mess up. She rubs her head as she heads up the stairs.

........

Damon closes the bathroom door behind him when he goes looking for Cassandra. Nose bleeds, so far, haven't meant good things for Cassandra. Or anyone else. Ever. She looks rather pale and queasy as she leans over the sink.

"What's going on?" Damon asks her, she shakes her head, swaying slightly.

"I have no idea" She admits, closing her eyes. "Bonnie thinks it could be Klaus..." She mumbles before Damon moves to her side and grabs her as she collapses. He shifts to sit them both on the floor, his arms around her. This isn't good either. Obviously. He kisses her head and takes the tissue from her hand. The least he can do till she wakes up is clean her up. This is a lot of blood for a simple nose bleed. And it has never been this bad before. Stefan opens the bathroom door behind Damon, but he doesn't look up. His focus is on Cassandra.

"She okay?" Stefan asks. Damon nods a little. She's alive, at least, that is fine. Alive and just unconscious he can work with. "Bonnie said that they talked about it, that they think it might be Klaus"

"She said" Damon points out. "We'll deal with Klaus tonight. If the two are connected, then it's done, if not...we find another way to fix it"

"What about the dance?"

"She'll still want to go" Damon answers. "See if she wakes up in time" Stefan nods and then closes the door again. Damon kisses Cassandra's head and closes his eyes. He can still feel her, so he assumes that's a good thing.

......

Damon rolls his eyes a little. It's not that he is trying to cage Cassandra, he is just worried about her. Worried about these 'spells'. Worried that it might actually be Klaus that is doing this. Not killing her. But hurting her. To keep her down. Bonnie was right about this. Cassandra is a very powerful individual, keeping her distracted will prevent her from effectively going after him. He watches as she sets a bag onto his bed, he supposes it's their bed now.

"And now I feel fine," She tells him as she pulls out her dress for the dance. "Whatever it was, it's passed"

"And if it happens again?" He argues as he moves closer to her. She hums a little and turns to face him, setting her hand on his chest.

"Then you'll be there to look after me" She whispers softly. "Right?" He nods and brushes her hair back from her face, cupping her cheek softly.

"Yeah" He breaths out and pulls her closer to kiss her. He still wants to argue with her. But she's stubborn and he'll do anything for her. She'll go to the school dance, and he'll be right there to watch over her. But whatever happens. Klaus goes down. This is it. He doesn't get to haunt them anymore.
