Shizukana's

It had been three days since that cursed conversation with Lady Tsunade.

She came back the next day with some doctors and a few nurses to remove the cast from my left hand. I thought it would be awkward, but it wasn't. We kept it professional.

Once the cast had come off, I felt relaxed, as if a bit of the burden on my shoulders were lifted. I realized I would feel much better the day I leave the hospital.

To keep me company, Naruto was with me. He had entered the room with a bag full of coloured sweets. His face was filled with a bright smile as he sat next to me.

"Look what they sold at the gift shop." He said, waving the bag. "The lady kept telling me to take it for free but she accepted the money." He added before opening it.

He handed a yellow sweet towards me, and I took it graciously. "I wonder why she insisted to take it for free?" I thought aloud.

"She couldn't resist my charms." He replied with a cheeky smirk before tossing a piece of candy in his mouth. "It's not bad."

I playfully eyed him suspiciously before unwrapping the one in my hand. It was the kind that instantly melted in your mouth, allowing the flavour in the middle to be set free. I sniffed it before placing it in my mouth.

It was sweet and was pineapple flavouring. I wasn't a fan of candy but these were good. "The yellow is pineapple flavour," I commented.

"The green one is lemon flavour," Naruto said before furrowing his eyebrows. "I think."

He reached back into the bag and handed me an orange one while he got a pink one. "Wanna guess what flavours these are?" He suggested.

"Sure," I responded as I swallowed the sweet in my mouth. "Orange?"

"Strawberry?" He guessed before bit a a part off and shoving the rest. I followed suit and plopped the candy in my mouth before giving Naruto a thumbs up.

This is what we did for an hour. Guess the flavour of the candy before eating it. By my third piece, I could feel myself getting lighter.

I passed it off, blaming the sugar, but I was too drowsy to notice what was really inside the candy.

Third Person's

It was a usual day for Kakashi. The course from his home to the hospital had become his daily route.

The Jonin hummed slightly as he stepped off the elevator and walked down the familiar corridor. He blinked lazily as he readied his hand to knock on the door, but froze when he heard giggles from the other side.

This isn't the wrong room, right? Kakashi's eyes travelled to the room number. It was the right room. Shaking his head, he knocked on the door and a very high-pitched voice spoke, "come in."

Not knowing how to respond, Kakashi opened the door and stepped inside.

"But that's not what how I sound like." Shizukana's slightly slurred voice cause Kakashi to falter in his step.

Both Naruto and Shizukana were seated on the hospital bed. Colourful candy wrappers surrounded them as they silently giggled.

"Hey, Sensei." Shizukana waved, causing Naruto to also wave. Unsure of what to do, Kakashi also waved back, causing the duo to burst out in laughter.

"What happened here?" Kakashi questioned. He was amused, yet partly concerned about their behaviour.

"I dunno." Naruto shrugged his shoulders. He stared straight into Kakashi's eye before they moved around the room and latched themselves onto the flower vase.
