Shizukana's P.O.V.

Dinner was quite interesting.

Naruto and Sasuke kept competing on who would eat the most.

I watched as the both of them inhaled their food like breathing air.

Once they finished the plate, they rose for seconds.

Their faces turned green as they turned to the side and barfed it all out.

I closed my eyes in disgust. "Why are you eating so much if you can't handle it?" I asked the two idiots.

"No, I can eat." Sasuke said.

"To get stronger." Naruto said.

I looked at Sensei who was reading his book. "Please say something." I said to Sensei making him close his book and look at the boys.

"If you are going to put it all out again, then it's useless eating all of this. Calm down boys." Sensei said making them slow down.

"I'm gonna reach the top of that tree tomorrow. Believe it." Naruto said with enthusiasm.

"Why?" Inari said with anger. "Why train so hard when you're going to die?"

The room became quiet.

"What did you say?" Naruto asked with anger building up inside him.

"Heroes get themselves killed." Inari said with tears in his eyes. "Everyone who thinks their a hero, dies in the end. You don't know what pain is. None of you have felt pain so just go back to where you came from."

With that he left the room.

Naruto stood up to fall back down.

He stood once more before walking towards the door.

"Where are you going?" Sensei asked.

"To prove to him that heroes don't always die." Naruto replied.

With that, Dinner was ended.

I went back to my room and got into my futon. Since my futon was near the window, I could see the moon.

But sometimes heroes do die. I mean, look at me. I jumped in front of my brother to stop the bullet from hitting him.

I closed my eyes but opened them when I heard Sensei's voice from outside.

Third Persons P.O.V.

Kakashi made his was towards Inari who was out looking at the ocean.

"Hey, do you mind if I sit here?" Kakashi asked making the boy look at him.

"I'll take that as a yes." The silver-haired Jonin chuckled.

"What do you want?" Inari asked.

"To apologize." Kakashi said making the boy look at him with wide eyes.

"What you said about them not knowing pain, that's wrong." Kakashi said making the boy look down. "All three of them have had their share of pain."

"What do you mean?" Inari asked.

"Naruto never knew his parents and the village didn't treat him right. But I have never seen him cry." Kakashi said looking at the sky. "I think that he got so tired of crying that he now strives to make everyone acknowledge him."

"What about boy with the black hair?" Inari asked.

"Sasuke?" Kakashi said. "His entire clan was massacred leaving him alone. He keeps this cold and dark personality to keep himself from attaching to the others."

Inari looked at Kakashi in horror.

Kakashi shifted in his spot. "Shizukana also has suffered. Her parents were killed by a rogue ninja. She was 4 years old. Yet, she was never frightened. Now, she's one of the best rookie ninja Konoha has ever seen. So is Sasuke." Kakashi said unaware of the white-haired kunoichi who was listening.

"So, if they say anything to you, they say it for the best." Kakashi said while standing up. "Plus, you're too cute to be talking about death." He said patting the boy's head.

Shizukana's P.O.V.

After hearing Sensei's conversation with Inari, it kept me wondering. This team really has a dark past.

With that said, I closed my eyes and drifted into a dreamless sleep.

The next morning....

I woke up to find Sasuke near his backpack. I stood up and went through the daily routine.

When I came back to the room, Sasuke was gone and I headed downstairs.

Sensei and Tazuna were having breakfast.

Sensei nodded at my arrival. "Where's Naruto and Sasuke?" I asked scanning the room.

"Naruto spent the night out and Sasuke just went to get him. We should go and check up on them." Sensei sighed putting his book down.

I nodded.

After having breakfast, Sensei and I made our way down to where Naruto and Sasuke were training.

As we reached our destination, a kunai landed just a few feet away from us.

I looked out to find Sasuke and Naruto sitting high up on their trees.

"Congratulations. You made your way to the top of the tree." Sensei said.

"Yeah, Believe it." Naruto yelled.

Just as Naruto yelled that, he lost his footing and came plummeting down to the ground.

I immediately gathered chakra strings and was about run towards him when he caught his footing and balanced himself.

I sighed when he started laughing. "You guys fell for that." Naruto said.trying to control his laughter when once again he lost balance. This time, he didn't seem to be laughing.

Sasuke caught him by the leg and set him down by a branch.

I looked over at Sensei who was mumbling to himself.

"Alright then, tomorrow morning we will guard Tazuna.

The next morning.....

I strapped my weapons pouch to my thigh and watched as Naruto was asleep.

We were about to leave with Tazuna but since Naruto used up to much chakra, we have no choice but to leave him.

"Don't worry Sensei, Naruto is in safe hands." Tsunami-san reassured Sensei.

Sensei nodded and we walked out of the house. The journey was quiet since Naruto wasn't there to babble about stuff.

In around half an hour, we reached the bridge to find it quiet and covered in mist.

I laid my hand on my sword and scanned the area.

Tazuna walked forward when he was all the workers unconscious on the floor.

Sensei walked forward and check their vitals. "They're alive."

The mist increased and we all came to one conclusion.

Zabuza of the Hidden Mist.

A/N.. Hey guys. Sorry for the short chapter but I thought I'd end things here. Anyways, I skipped the sad story of Inari's father figure. Since Sakura isn't there to ask the question about the picture.

Well, Kakashi knows there's some problem so he probably won't ask. Sasuke will just not care. Shizukana will mind her own business while Naruto would not have noticed that.😙

Hope you enjoyed this chapter.

Ciao...
