A/N:  T/W - indirect mention of depression. I may add on to this later on but idk + a pic from one of his stories <3

The bright, scalding light of the morning sun filled and blinded Ayedah's eyes as they finally fluttered open after they had seemingly been clamped shut since forever, enveloping her in eternal darkness as she slept.

But she immediately closed them once again, wincing from the white-hot sting that flooded her cornea- she felt as if her eyeballs had been doused with gasoline and then set on fire. "Oh, Allah," she whispered God's name as she tried to sit up, only to find herself back down again because her body was aching madly. What happened? she wondered silently, her tired brown eyes slowly adjusting to the light, as everything began to form in front of her. As she took the room into her view, she realized that she was on a large, queen-sized bed, between warm and comfortable white covers, like that of a hotel's. The tidy, nearly empty room had familiar white walls that seemed to be made out of bumpy, real white stone, and the large, clear glass windows had framing that looked to be made out of genuine and classy wood.

She then came to realize that, however snug and cosy she was, it was not her own bed at home. When that came to light, she immediately sat up again, causing a cascade of stinging aches throughout her body; she nearly cried out loud at the pain. After she had a moment to relieve the cramps in her limbs, she had to endure the pounding in her skull caused by a forming headache built up from a somewhat blocked and half-runny nose.

The causes of all the aches, pains and sinus had definitely been caused by her recent sobbing during her breakdown- but Ayedah was not aware of it just then, for she had not yet obtained her memories before she blacked out. It took her a few long minutes of silence and hard thinking, trying to avoid making her head ache even more, as she laid down in the bed- until she realized where she was and what had happened.

All that had happened between Aarif and Reema...how they had tried to force her to go back to London, to their family...how they had even physically attacked her, forcing her to fight back...how Burak had come just in a nick of time to protect her, throwing himself into the fight as well...how Aarif and Reema were forced to leave...how Burak brought her back to his home to tend to her-

Burak's house. That's where she was.

Heat creeped up her cheeks as she sat up again in alarm, this time her mind too focused and overwhelmed to think of the physical pain that shot through her body. "Oh my God," she whispered, and she checked her watch. It was nearly 8AM- she had stayed overnight. "Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God!" She looked around frantically, looking for her phone- it was not on the bedside table, or anywhere on the bed. She suddenly realized something else, and her hands immediately went to her head to feel for her scarf- thankfully, it was still wrapped securely around her head, covering and protecting her hair under it. She noticed something else that reassured her greatly; she still had all her clothes on too- only the coat and jacket she had been previously wearing was removed, and was now only wearing a simple sweatshirt as her top. She sighed in relief, for her mind had overthought, and she imagined something rather unnerving-

Astaghfirullah, Ayedah Natalya Harraz, she scolded herself. How could you even think of such things? You know Burak would never do anything to humiliate or hurt you-

"I know, I know," she murmured to herself, embarrassed. She closed her eyes to relax herself for a while, before she opened them and looked around again- and what she saw next nearly made her scream and jump out of the bed, even if it was not a frightening or discomforting sight; there was a single couch pushed up against the wall next to the bed and in front of the glass windows, and on it, sleeping in a seemingly peaceful and sound way, lay Burak Celik himself.
