The more dangerous areas of Tokyo have been a home to her for the past few months. She doesn't remember exactly when or why she decided to live this way. It's like something or someone else inside of her makes the decisions when she's not in the right state of mind. After so many years of struggling against it, she finally embraced it, and accepted that it's a part of her now.

For the past six months, she was hunting down members of the Tokyo Manji Gang, a criminal organization that's been rising in power. They've been leaving dead bodies everywhere, endangering lives, all for the sake of their own gain and pleasure.

It's more like a mafia to her. She finds it pathetic that the police can't locate any members or leaders with all of these crimes being committed every minute of every day. So, when she decided to take matters into her own hands, she scoured the night.

She patrolled the streets from the shadows and the rooftops. When she caught criminals in the act, she ended them. Whether or not they were from the Tokyo Manji Gang, she'd fix whatever they had broken. Avenge lives they have taken. She'd restore peace for a time, before someone fucked it up again.

Blood, darkness, vengeance, grudges. That's all she is on the inside most of the time. Often, it's all she has to accompany her. The beast inside her has been demanding satisfaction for its unquenchable bloodlust. Its eternal thirst for revenge.

She wonders how much longer until she loses herself to it.

It's already four in the afternoon, but it feels like it's only been a few minutes since she was in the abandoned scrapyard. She already changed out of her bloody clothes and hid them in a dumpster. Now she's just wearing a simple black long sleeved shirt and jeans.

For now, she's a normal pedestrian, trying to make it through her day. No one can see the heavy chains that weigh her down. No one can see her true intentions. No one can see her.

How did she get here? Well, that's a long story.

Ring~

Her phone suddenly goes off, so she pulls it out of her back pocket. She relaxes a little when she reads the name. She answers and brings the phone to her ear.

"Hello, Takemichi," she greets formally.

"{Nakano-san!}" She recoils at the forced excitement. "{Are you busy?}"

She pauses for a moment, but gives in. "No."

"{Cool, cool. So... There's something I wanna talk about. Can we meet at the train station? Right now.}"

"Sure. Are you there already."

"{I am.}"

He immediately hangs up the phone, much to her suspicion. If what he wants to talk about is as important as it sounds, the next strike will have to wait. Forgetting everything she was about to do, she begins walking in the direction of the train station to meet her twin.

She hasn't seen Takemichi since they celebrated the day she returned to Japan, which was about three months ago. That day marked the twelfth year since their reunion. It's a bitter occasion for her, but she still celebrates it because her brother always gets excited about it like it's his birthday.

Whether she'd want to or not, he'd drag her out to take her somewhere to have some fun, even if it was something as simple as walking around the city. That's one of the reasons why the idiot is the only one she really cares about. He's the only person in her life who insisted on staying in it.

Takemichi was all she had for the past twelve years. Her mother hated her and still does, but was obligated to take her in. But her brother loves her like they were never torn apart. He just picked up where they left off and that was that. It's as if he's the only one who accepts her for who she is, who knows her better than anyone else.
