Nakano spent the rest of the night staying with her brother. She offered to stay at his place, no longer caring about the condition for the sake of protecting him. He didn't say a word to her the rest of the night, and she assumed it was because he was traumatized by what he saw. She didn't blame him though.

As he slept through the night, Nakano was up cleaning his apartment, too paranoid to sleep. For all she knew, Toman grunts could break in and murder them in their most vulnerable moment. However, the worst that happened was the Karen next door coming over to complain about the noise her cleaning was doing. But with only one look at Nakano, she left before she could even ask what she wanted.

She had to help ease her brother back to sleep because the lady banged the door so hard it sounded like someone was trying to break it down. It scared the shit out of him, but after a few minutes of reassurance he went back to sleep.

It's a wonder they didn't wake up the rest of the building.

When morning finally came, Nakano escorted her twin to work. When she dropped him off, she went to the street food cart nearby, where she is now, to grab something to eat for lunch.

She decides to eat her food first because she's running low on energy due to lack of sleep. On her way back to her brother's workplace, she starts eating the smokey yakitori. While she does so, she lets her mind wander.

Their goal was to keep Sano Manjiro and Kisaki Tetta from meeting, so the mission is far from accomplished. If they're going to make sure they never meet, they have to find Kisaki next.

The question is, even if they do end up meeting Kisaki, how are they supposed to keep him away from Mikey? Even better questions yet, how did they meet? What were their motives at the time?

'Manjiro wanted to make a new era for delinquents, that we know for certain. But what did Kisaki want? To rule a mafia? If so, how was Manjiro just okay with that?'

Sinking her teeth into the barbecued chicken liver, she thinks deeper. 'No information can explain why he's gone with Kisaki ruling Toman. Did something happen to them then or now? Or did it build up over time? How many years has it even been since Manjiro left? Was it because of Kisaki or was he tired of Toman's bullshit? Where did he go? Is he dead?'

Nakano shakes her head, as she starts to feel dizzy with all these questions swirling in her mind. She isn't sure if they're even relevant, or why she's thinking about them.

'Ugh. Hopefully this'll all end soon.'

As she finishes her first skewer, she sees someone approaching her. To her surprise, it's her twin. He looks to be walking on pins and needles, and his back is arched so much that anyone would think he stuffed rocks into his backpack.

"Takemichi?" She speeds up her pace, then stops to stand in front of him. "What are you doing out so early?"

"I- Uh... I got fired," he answers defeatedly as he slouches. "It's 'cause I was gone for two weeks without a reason."

"Huh. If only you could explain the situation." She tosses the skewer stick into a nearby trash bin, and hands the rest of the food to her brother. "Eat up while it's still hot."

"Thanks, Nakano-san." He takes the bag of the other five skewers. "How many did you eat?"

"Enough." She starts walking again, getting her twin to follow her. "We should go to Naoto's place if we have nothing better to do. He probably found something on Draken's death."

"Yeah..." Takemichi takes a bite out of his food. "Man... How am I supposed to live after this?"

"Hm." Nakano gives him a side glance.
