Just over a month had rolled by in the blink of an eye. Nakano had been staying close to her brother, trying to use her ability over and over again in an attempt to see the past. Though, every attempt failed, so she assumed it was a one time thing.
But why would it only happen once? Why would touching her brother show her all those gruesome things, and make her feel everything he felt in that moment? Was she supposed to see all of that? Did those memories hold meaning?
Well, of course those memories held some sort of meaning, but not to her. Nothing about that flashback had anything to do with her. So what good would seeing those memories do for her?
As her brother is fast asleep, Nakano once again experiences insomnia. As she sits against the wall, she stares at her twin who's sleeping peacefully. As she watches him, she debates whether or not it would be okay if she left him for a few minutes.
She quietly stands up, and tiptoes her way to the door. She leaves the apartment, inhaling the scent of the city night air. Stuffing her hands into her hoodie pocket, she makes her way down the steps, and onto the street. She doesn't plan on going too far.
She wishes she had the luxury of sleeping well, but she's been so on edge for the past month.
A month. About the same amount of time she and her brother had been going back and forth between the future and past. And now they have to do it again.
If It was her choice, she would kill every Toman member herself. That's the quick and simple way out of it.
But that would also mean... Killing Manjiro... And Draken... And she'd be taking them away from those who love them.
They're just kids. Like her brother said, she'd end up stooping to the enemy's level.
Why? Why violence and death? Why does she keep thinking they can fix her problems?
Because they've worked for her.
But she only now thinks it's wrong, but what else is she supposed to do? Clearly saving a life didn't change shit. It still led to Toman's rise to an age of tyranny.
As Nakano looks up to the sky, she searches for the moon. The canopy of clouds block her vision, and the night sky is nothing but dark.
Upon returning to Japan, the artificial lights would shine far too bright. She never saw the true night sky again. The night sky she came to adore. She barely remembers what it looks like. All she remembers is that it was beautiful. She doesn't realize how much she misses it, until she recalls the first time she saw it.

The girl stayed quiet, as she watched the orange hues slowly fade, and the moon hid behind a cloud. The only source of light was coming from the kitchen inside of the house. As the yellow hue shone against her back, it created a shadow that joined the darkness the night had created.
As she stared at it, another shadow suddenly appeared next to hers. She saw a shadowy hand raise, so she sucked in her breath and tensed up.
...
The girl shrieks in fear, as tears immediately start spilling from her eyes. She brings herself to her feet, and turns and runs towards the house.
...
Her sobs rang out into the night, as her small feet padded against the wooden floorboards of the front patio. She held her hands out to feel through the dark air, but she collided with the person she was looking for.
