"Is there really no going back?" Mikey places his hand on the gas tank of his cb250t. "What would my big brother do?"
"Who knows?" the tall friend answers. "Talk it over with your cb250t."
And that's exactly what he intends to do.
The cool autumn night breeze whips against his face as he speeds down the streets of Shibuya. The engine of his precious motorcycle rumbles as if it was its heart beat. He tries to match his heart rate with the steady rumble of his beloved Babu, but thoughts eat away at him.
What is he supposed to do now? He has to fight his best friend. Even if he did betray Toman, and he can't forgive him for siding with Kazutora... He still doesn't want to let him go. They've been through a lot, and they've known each other for a long time.
After twenty minutes of riding around, Mikey realizes that he's being brought to an area he doesn't fully recognize. It's less populated and quiet. Almost like a ghost town. The stores here are already closed, and a few buildings are abandoned.
'Where are you taking me, brother?'
As he rounds a corner, he suddenly sees a figure walking the same direction he's biking. But as if they heard him, they duck into an alleyway.
Something about that person seems familiar to Mikey, which urges him to go closer to them. He slows down and shifts to the neutral gear, walking his bike towards the alleyway.
'Who are you...' Mikey turns into the alleyway the person walked into, but they're not there.
Clank!
A sound comes from above, so he looks up to see a foot disappear onto the rooftop. The feeling is suddenly fading quickly, as if the person is running away. He quickly shuts off his bike and immediately dismounts.
He hurries up the fire escape ladder, and makes it to the roof. He scans the area, and just up ahead, he sees someone running to the edge. Assuming the worst, he pulls himself up and starts running after them.
"WAIT!!"
The person skids to a stop right before they jump off the edge, which gives him ample time to catch up with them. As he nears them, they turn around. And now it's his turn to skid to a stop.
The familiar presence has reached its peak as the crisp night air blows their hood off when they turn to him. Black bangs graze her face as they're pushed by the gentle wind. This reveals the auburn orbs he's come to adore gazing into.
"Kano... Chin..?" She stays quiet, staring at him with slight confusion. "Please... Come over here..."
He holds out a hand, but she stares at it with a raised brow. "You thought I was going to jump."
"Of course I did." The worry still hasn't subsided. "You were running towards the edge for the love of god!!"
"Be quiet. It's nighttime." She takes relaxed steps towards him. "Also, I was going to jump."
"Why would you-"
"But I wasn't going to jump to my death." She cuts him off and stops right in front of him.
"Then... Why are you up here?"
Nakano turns around and points at the tallest building in the area. It's a few buildings down, and looks abandoned and pretty shady.
"I'm going there," she states blandly as she walks past him, back to the direction they came.
"Why though?"
