Keep Fighting

Chifuyu is riding on his motorcycle, on his way to the hospital with Inupi who's just barely clinging onto him. He can feel his blood soaking through his jacket, making the panic rise even more.

"Hold on, Inui-kun!" Chifuyu yells to him against the wind. "Just hang on!"

"Chi... Fuyu..." Hears him mumble beside him. "Turn... Right..."

"The hospital isn't that way!"

"No, don't... They'll keep me there..." Chifuyu debates whether or not he should follow his directions, until he hears Inupi speak again. "My hideout... Is close..."

After hearing that, Chifuyu gives in and follows Inupi's utters of directions until they reach a boarded up building. He helps Inupi off of the bike, and opens the door with the help of Inupi's instructions.

They make their way inside, and Inupi tells Chifuyu where the first aid kit is. Once he finds it, he immediately goes to tend to his wounds.

Other than the hisses of pain from the older boy, it's pretty quiet, so Chifuyu asks him a question. "Who did this to you?"

Inupi winces as Chifuyu wipes around an open gash with an alcohol wipe. "Nakano."

That's exactly what he was afraid to hear. "Do you remember what happened?"

As Chifuyu continues to clean and bandage Inupi's wounds, he starts explaining. "After Nakano went back to the future, I found her with the two guys who got kicked out of Toman."

"Kisaki and Hanma!?" Chifuyu pauses what he's doing. "What were they doing there?"

"I don't know." Inupi regains a bit of strength and adjusts himself on the couch. "She asked them who they were, and I knew it was bad when Kisaki grinned."

"Shit, so that was Kisaki's doing."

"Yeah. Hanma asked Nakano where her brother was, and she said that she has no brother. After that, Kisaki offered to take her to his boss who'd be able to 'help' her. I tried to intervene, but she knocked me out cold out of nowhere. By the time I came to, they were gone."

Chifuyu tilts his head as he sits crossed legged on the floor in front of Inupi. "Damn. But what about Nakano? How did she beat you up so bad?"

"The next day I was wandering the streets, trying to figure out what to do when I saw her alone. I obviously ran over to her. She saw me and said that following Kisaki was a bad idea. She said she called for a Black Dragons meeting, so we took her bike and she brought me to this old building. We went inside, and there was another guy in there. I knew exactly who it was. Kurokawa Izana. Then out of nowhere, she punched me in the jaw so hard I fell to the ground. She told me to give that message to Mikey, and then she... Beating me up is a soft way of putting it. At some point she threw me against a wall, I know that for sure. The rest was blurry and painful."

Inupi shuts his eyes, lowering his head. Chifuyu hangs his head as well. He understands all too well what it's like to be in that position.

"The same thing happened to me, but it was my Captain and best friend. I can't believe this is happening again. But if it ends the same way..."

The two share an uneasy look at the thought.

After Chifuyu told Takemichi what he and Inupi talked about the night before, he immediately went to find Naoto to go back to the future. When he returned to the future, he didn't go to find Nakano. He went straight to Naoto's apartment.
