Mikey waits as everyone leaves the shrine, leaving just him and the Hanagaki twins. His eyes never leave Nakano's small figure, as they gleam with... Mesmerization? Amazement? Relief?

He doesn't know how to feel about what he just witnessed. It was just all over the place. She came out of nowhere and took a hit from Baji, and even fought back. Her endurance and strength is impressive, but watching her take those hits and hurting herself worried him.

She can get pretty reckless, taken from what he's seen so far. It's a little strange to him because doing reckless shit is what he usually loves doing. But watching what her hostile and aggressive nature can take her genuinely concerns him.

He wanted to jump in and help her, but he doesn't know what was holding him back.

Maybe it was because of what Takemitchy told him? That she can easily get herself out of tight situations. He definitely saw what he meant. She fights back really well.

But back when Takemitchy asked why Mikey was worried about her honestly pissed him off a bit. Who wouldn't worry about their own sibling? Of course, Nakano is strong and capable of holding her own, but she can still get herself into life threatening situations.

It's like Takemitchy completely forgot that Nakano almost died one night.

He still remembers the way she clinged onto him for dear life, before her arms went limp only minutes later. And when he spent the night with her, that was likely the most peaceful night he's ever had.

Something about her. Something about Nakano really sets Mikey into a frenzy of thoughts. The girl is such a puzzle, yet it's like he's connected to her somehow. He feels this sort of familiarity around her that he really can't explain.

And now she's right here. After nearly a month of not seeing her, and having no idea where she went, he finally gets to see her again. He may not have known her for very long, but it's like they've been friends since forever.

In other words, he really missed her.

Everyone is gone now, and the shrine is now completely silent. The only people there are the three of them. The cool night breeze blows by, as the moon shines to illuminate the darkness.

"Nice to see you again, Kano-chin."

Takemitchy turns around to look at him, yet Mikey's eyes remain fixated on Nakano. He waits for her to turn around and face him, but the reason why she isn't is beyond him. Did he say something wrong, or is she being her cold self again?

"How's your face?" He slowly starts approaching her, as her twin steps out of the way. "That looked like a hard hit."

"It's fine."

She finally turns around, but he was just about to place a hand on her shoulder. He quickly pulls his hand back as she walks past him. Her bangs once again block his view of her eyes, but not her cheek. It's split open, just like how his was when she punched him.

"Doesn't look like it."

Without thinking, Mikey gently takes hold of her upper arm and turns her to face him. He uses the sleeve of his jacket to wipe away some of the blood, but most of it is already dry. He wipes away the crimson flakes, as Nakano stands patiently.

She seems to relax as he cleans her up the best he can. Unfortunately there's still some blood staining her pale cheek.

"So, what did you want to talk about, Mikey-kun?" Takemitchy suddenly asks from behind them.

Mikey casually looks towards him, as Nakano flinches back. "Oh, right. Let's sit down."

The twins follow Mikey to the top step of the stairs to the shrine. Takemitchy sits beside him, and Nakano takes a seat next to her brother. As much as he wants her to sit next to him, Mikey doesn't argue with her choice.
