31. Happy Birthday, Moonsik!

A lot has happened the past six months since I last saw my little, perfect family in New York.

I have been able to continue consistently communicating with Sooyoung and Moonsik, as best as I can. But, with my off-kilter schedule and Sooyoung being on her last months of med school, we've had moments where we had difficulty getting a hold of each other. Luckily, Sooyoung and I understand the stress we are both under so we don't take offense and just try our best to work around it.

We are also insanely grateful to have family who is supportive. Sooyoung, Inna and Lucy have exchanged numbers with the other members of the group as well as Kyungmin. So, if I'm tied up with a task, and my sister or one of the boys happen to be free, they always make time to FaceTime Moonsik, which he seems to be just as happy when it comes to those interactions since he adores his aunt and honorary uncles.

I'm a lucky man.

Speaking of Sooyoung being more than busy with med school- she has also been so busy looking into residency in pediatrics. There are a couple particular programs that she hopes to get into all in New York. I know it's been a grueling and stressful process. But, if anyone can do it, I know that my woman is beyond more than capable. I might sound bias, but she's brilliant.

We discussed the possible timeline and the time I decide to enter and complete my military service will align around the time Sooyoung is finishing up her residency. She might have to do a couple years, but my hopes are she might want to transfer somewhere in California.

Yoongi and I have been discussing our future. And, while I intend on being a part of BTS when I come back from my military service, Yoongi and I have been dreaming about starting our own record company. We've been in talks with Bang PD-nim, and he's working closely with us. Other members are also considering going in on the company with us.

We considered locations as well. And, though it would make sense to remain in Seoul, Los Angeles seems like another option for our possible future headquarters.

We are obviously considering LA for the business aspect and knowing that Los Angeles is a big part of the music industry, we should sink our teeth in that location.

It's all in the distant future, but it's all worth considering.

And, Sooyoung always dreamt of living in California. So, it's just that added little push for me. I could see myself with Sooyoung and Moonsik moving between LA and Seoul.

Now, back to the present time. It's 11am on a Sunday, in New York.

The boys and I flew out here a couple days ago to do some press for our new album we just released. When I realized this to be a part of the schedule, months ago, I made plans with Sooyoung to plan a party for Moonsik's 6th birthday.

They had a smaller party on the 5th, which was his actual birthday, but Moonsik was aware that he would be having an even more grand party when I came in town.

And, here I am now, in the giant party area that is already set up. Between, me, my parents, Sooyoung's parents, and the boys, we spared no expense in throwing the best Marvel party for Moonsik. Looking around at the lavish decorations and I know Moonsik and his whole kindergarten class will be in awe and have a blast.
