"The Hunter's have entered the building!!!" There she is! My best friend in the whole wide world (along with Maya of course).
"There's my favorite person in the world!" My dad greets his best friend with a huge hug. They do this everytime they see each other.
"You say that like I am not in the room." My mom tells my dad, but I think she's used to it at this point.
Vanessa comes and sits next to me on the bench. Today we are eating confetti pancakes. My mom makes them for special occasions. They are her favorite even though she loves chocolate. Her face lights up at the sight of them. She thanks my mother and throws three pancakes from the stack onto her plate.
Our conversation continues as we talk about our feelings for the new school year. I am extremely excited to meet new people and be in a whole new school, but Auggie is a little nervous. Nessa hasn't figured out her feelings about it yet. That's not very suprising due to her indecisiveness.
Breakfast was soon over and me and Nessa made our way to the subway. Along the way we joke and giggle like we always do around each other. I couldn't imagine my life without her. She makes everyday so much better.

We reached the subway and saw our short blonde haired best friend. Our trio boards the bus and are on our way to Abigail Adams high school, the place where we will spend our next four years. It's daunting, but with my best friends by my side, I am ready for anything high school will throw at me.
