When class ended, I got out of there as soon as possible. I don't know why Lucas kept trying to go after me like that. He usually always believes me.

I walked to my next class of the day, which was science. Me, Lucas, Farkle, and Riley had this class, so we usually walked together. It felt weird not having them by my side, but if they were, I would have been questioned the whole time.

I entered the class room and sat at my table. I took a pencil and my science notebook out of my bag and set them on my desk. Then, I sat there and waited for the bell to ring.

Right before it went off, Lucas, Farkle, and Riley entered the class. Lucas sat next to me and Farkle and Riley took their spots in front of us.

I didn't even look at them. I hoped that that would give them the message that I don't want to speak to them. Luckily, they wouldn't have been able to anyways because Mrs. Gomez, our science teacher, started the lesson.

"Were done learning about the why there is a decrease in poisonous frogs that live in the amazon, so now we will be moving on to a new topic." The whole class, save for Farkle, gave a small "yay". I was especially happy because I had no idea what she was talking about yesterday.

"Today we are going to be learning about bed bugs."
To this, the whole class gave a shudder.

"You might be wondering why we are learning about this, but you should know that these little bugs are very common during traveling. In fact, the main cause of bed bug infestations are because of traveling."

Mrs. Gomez continued on with the lesson, but I tried not to pay attention. I usually love her lessons on insects and amphibians, but after she showed us pictures of bed bug bite cases, I clocked out.

Finally, the lesson was over with the ring of the bell. "Saved by the bell" I thought. I quickly left the room like before in order to avoid Lucas, but this time, it didn't work. He grabbed my wrist before I could walk away, and made me look at him.

"Nessa, please." He begged me. He knows I cant say no to him when he begs. I sigh and turn around to face him. We were standing in the middle of the hallway, so he dragged me to the side over by the lockers.

"You know you can tell me anything right."

"I am."

"No, you're not."

"Yes I am!" I said getting a little angry.

"Nessa!"

"Stop! I'm fine! Just please let it go!"

"No. Not until you tell me what's going on." I didn't know what to say. I tried coming up with an excuse, but nothing was good enough to fool him. I sighed and put my head in my face. I'd have to tell the truth. Well, at least part of it. He didn't need to know everything.

"I just haven't been feeling good okay." I said with my face still in my hands.

"What's wrong?" His voice softened.

"I've just been having a lot of headaches and haven't been able to sleep. It's making me really grumpy. That's probably why I started getting yelling at Mr.
M." He took my hands off my face and wrapped both of his arms around my waist. His head rested on top of my head and he placed a gentle kiss on it. I dug my head farther into his chest, not wanting him to see the faint bush that dusted my cheeks.

"I'm sorry I yelled." He apologized.

"And I'm sorry I got so grumpy." He chuckled and let go of me.

"You want to come over to my house tonight? Maybe it will help you sleep better if you change up your environment." I didn't think that was a good idea. I don't want to get another weird headache when he could possibly see it. However, I don't want to miss out on a sleep over with him, and even the possibility of getting a little sleep was making me want to go.

"Yeah. That sounds great." I smiled up at him, and he returned it.

"Meet up after school and ride the subway?" He asked.

"Yep."

"Okay, I got to get to class now. Bye"

"Bye." I watched him walk down the hall. I hoped that tonight would go as planned. No weird headaches, and a lot of much needed sleep.
