Vanessa lied in bed on her back. She found a spot on her celling and stared at it. It helped her feel grounded. Her head was spinning, and this was the only thing she found that could ease the pain.

She rolled over. Her spot no longer worked. She looked out to her room and saw the world spinning. She shut her eyes; praying for sleep to come.

Vanessa stood up from her bed. The world has ceased its spinning, but she had grown a headache. It was so powerful that it had her clutching her head. She knew it wouldn't relieve the pain, but she did it anyway.
She opened her door and entered the hallway. She walked to the kitchen and went to the medicine drawer. She picked up one of the bottles of pills and took two out. Then she grabbed a plastic cup from the cabinet. She filled the cup and then took the two pills with water. She knew they didn't work, but she was absolutely desperate at this point.
She stood there gripping the sink with one hand and her forehead with the other.
