"Do we really have to do this?" I asked my dad.

"Lucas and Cory called me and told me what happened today. You're going to the doctor."

"Dad, it was just a headache. The doctor is gonna say the same thing."

"Shush," He said while putting his finger on my mouth. I just huffed at him and continued walking to the doctor's office.

Once we entered the building, dad did all of the grown-up paperwork while I watched the little fishies in the tank. I know this makes me seem like a child, but they're my favorite part. Especially the little blue one I named Gale.

A nurse called my name, and I and my dad followed her back to the room where we waited for the doctor to come. It took a couple of minutes, but then the door opened. An older lady with died brown hair came through the door.

"Vanessa, it's nice to see you again." My doctor, Dr. Molina, greeted me with a smile.

"Nice to see you too Doc."

"What brings you here today?"

"Uh, I don't really know. I guess you could say that I've had these flu-like symptoms. Um, I've had a lot of numbness on m-my left arm and leg. I feel like my head's really dizzy all the time. I don't know if it... correlates to any of this, but... I have these-these bed bug bites on my arm." I rolled up my sleeve and showed her the scratchy little bites on my arm.

"You see 'em?" I asked.

Vanessa rolled up her sleeve and showed her arm to me and the doctor.

"You see 'em?" She asked us and I looked at her with a puzzled expression. There was nothing there. Just my daughters normal freckled arm.

The doctor kept a staright face and continued on with her questions.

"Uh, any history of Lyme disease?"
